  1. We were on Constellation in January. It was OK. I would go again if the price was right
  2. Thank you. I looked and they don’t have any cruises out of NY so I am disappointed.
  3. I looked at upcoming cruises and NY is NOT one of the departure ports for fall 2024.
  4. FYI, on the Cunard boards they are still complaining that you no longer have to wear a jacket or suit every day for dinner. I however, will still bring my tux for the next Cunard cruise.
  5. We just called a taxi for the hotel to airport. Very easy
  6. Any thoughts on taking the Celebrity Eclipse out of New Jersey to Bermuda with children ages 4 and 6? This would be the children's first cruise.
  7. Thinking of sailing out of NY in the fall of 2024. When do they typically open up bookings?
  8. That was a shutdown, not a default. Who knows what would happen. It is possible 2/3 of the banks in the US could fail. Air traffic control could be shut down. Closing Glacier Bay would be the least of the problems. Anything is possible.
  9. So you don’t know what the price is when you go on the waitlist. It could be several times the price listed on the website?
  10. How are waitlist cruises priced? Do the prices on the website mean anything?
  11. Bring really good binoculars with you if you want to see wildlife. 10x absolute maximum unless they are stabilized.
  12. Are you docked or tendered? If docked do you have to take the shuttle? If you are tendered or have to take the shuttle I would use the ship’s excursion.
  13. FYI, our. Cruise itinerary said VilleFranche however we tendered to Nice. Once you are onboard you need to check.
  14. We dropped anchor in villeFranche but tendered to Nice
  15. Can the coffee card be used for a Chai Tea Latte?
  16. On one Royal Cruise I have been handed a port change notice as I was boarding the ship.
  17. Yes however I think you actually get a better exchange rate with a credit card.
  18. Depends on the Island on the French side of St. Maarten the default currency is the Euro.
  19. It is what they call the "GUEST TICKET BOOKLET". "Guests are not allowed to bring beer, hard liquor, fortified wines (vermouth, sherry, sake, and port wines) or nonalcoholic beverages onboard for consumption or any other use"
  20. I was just reading the travel book Royal provides and it looks like they are banning us from bringing ANY soft drinks aboard. The limit used to be 12 bottles of up to 17oz. When did this change?
  21. Some PAX have booked on the Royal April 30 to Rome. Poor substitute of course but if you want to get to Europe I guess it works.
  22. Thanks for the info. Sounds like I can't really determine yet what the course will be. I think I will look at the GPS on my phone periodically so I can plot the course when I get back to see what path we took.
