  1. I was just saying how my experience was with the "pending" status 😊 Obviously anything can happen, but that's what happened with mine and how I got upgraded.
  2. You'll eventually get a "pending" status if it goes through and then a day after that you get the email that your bid was accepted. We found out 30 days before our sailing that our bid had been accepted.
  3. We will be sailing on Royal Caribbean and currently have booked an excursion that will take us over to Lindos. It shows that it's about a 5 hour tour. Now my question is, they just released more excursions and another one is catching my eye. It's a kayaking excursion, but for almost 7 hours we will be kayaking around Rhodes coastline. We have a couple of stops that include, Aegean Sea and Kokkini Ammos. This will be our first time in Rhodes, so is it better to stay on land and experience Rhodes or experience Rhodes by kayak?? Thank you for the help!!
  4. We just found out ours for our 11 night Mediterranean cruise and it was 34 days before!
  5. Oh we are very happy, no one can take our excitement away and balconies right now are over $6000. We weren't even close to paying that for an 11 night cruise! And I know deep down it wasn't a high bid at all, we could have done a wayyy higher bid 🙂
  6. Great news! Our bid was accepted and we just got the congratulations email! 🥳 We originally had the spacious ocean view room, but bid for an ocean view balcony. We ended up doing $700 a person, because it showed it was the beginning of the "Fair" bid on the meter. We are sooo excited!!
  7. I will definitely keep you all updated! Definitely getting more and more excited, thank you!!
  8. I just noticed that our bid upgrade went from submitted to pending....I am not going to get too excited, but does this mean that we MIGHT be getting a room upgrade?? I haven't ever seen it go to pending before on other upgrade bids for past cruises! We also had another bid in, but it shows expired now. I do remember seeing this in a post a few weeks ago but can no longer find it, so I'm sorry if that's the case! Thank you everyone! 😀
  9. Sounds pretty close to what we are doing except for Capri. It's a boat ride over to amalfi, we are there for about an hour on our own and then a boat ride back to a bus. Then which the bus takes us to Pompeii! It's almost a 10 hour tour so we are looking forward to it!!
  10. Has anyone done this tour in Naples, Italy? We just booked it and it sounds amazing!!! I'm hoping to hear your experiences with this excursion as well! 🙂
  11. So instead of on the app, you go to the website and log in from there. Once you go to your countdown page, click on plan your cruise. Once it pulls up all the stuff to plan your cruise in the right hand corner where your initials are, click on that and then click Royal gifts and that's where it'll be!
  12. We recently booked the Sailing the Caldera excursion in Santorini and we are curious if anyone has done it and how there experience was with it. It was a little pricey for only about 3 hours, but it sounds fun and different than any of the other excursions in Santorini! Thanks for the help!!
  13. We had a reroute last year on Mariner and ended up having changed to coco cay last minute while Harmony was going to be there. Pretty much everything was sold out cabana/water park wise. But luckily Mariner got there 2 hours before Harmony so we were able to get off the ship quick and get our beach chairs.
  14. For the Endicott Arm, get up EARLY. We recently did this sailing last September, and it was our favorite part of the entire cruise. We had an inside room, and we woke up at 5:30 am to make sure we got a good spot up on the top deck! I am so glad we did that, because we had a great spot all morning. Just prepare yourself because it is freezing that early in the morning and we were not prepared! But the views and the scenery made the cold worth it!!
  15. This is amazing, thank you!! This is all great information!! So excited!
  16. We are currently booked with Royal Caribbean's Excursion Sailing the Caldera, if you have done this tour, please let me know your thoughts on it. I am not 100% fully committed on it. What would you all suggest keeping this excursion or do some type of walking tour with the cruise line? My main concern is the dang cable ride, there will be 2 other ships in port that day. I have looked through all the forums and wanted to start my own, because let's be honest it was a little overwhelming reading through all of the comments! So, I would appreciate any help on Santorini, especially the excursion we already booked or anything else that we should do! Thank you! 🙂
  17. We want to stay around the port when we arrive in Valletta, I would love any suggestions on what to do, places we need to see and where to eat! I have looked around at tours, but nothing is catching my eye. So, if anyone has been to Valletta, I would love to hear what you all did at port 🙂
  18. We haven't done the main dining room in a very long time, so lets just say I am new to this. We all have my time dining and we are a group of 6 wanting to be at the same table. I notice on the cruise planner that when I reserve my husband and I, I can also reserve up to 8 guests. If I do it this way, are we all going to be at the same table? Also, if I go ahead and reserve our table that way, if a couple decides to not go one night, will it be a problem in the dining room when the other couples go and check in for the reservations? Hopefully that last question makes sense. Also, would anyone know how many formal nights and when they might happen on our 11-night cruise? Still waiting for our cruise planner on the app to update, but so far it only shows up to day 6 of what the dinners every night will be, so it is hard to tell when formal nights will be. Thanks for all the help! 🙂
  19. This might be a very random question, but important to know for our upcoming cruise and hoping someone can answer! We have stops in Rome and Naples Italy where one of our main goals is to find pistachio creamer (yes, that is a goal). If we purchase this at the ports and bring them back on the cruise, will the ship allow it?? I am guessing it will be okay, but if anyone has done this or know anything about this I would greatly appreciate it! 🙂
  20. We LOVED Mariner. We were on her last April! We do love our Oasis class ships though, because there is a lot more to do, lots more food and activities. But there is something about the smaller ships, they are the perfect size and still so much to do on those ships!
