  1. Thanks to all who have responded to this topic, your condolences have been greatly appreciated. I have read all of your comments and believe they are good points for and against notifying Celebrity. At some point I will make a decision and I plan on posting the outcome of my decision. Thank you all.
  2. Have cruise upcoming in June, 2024 on Equinox, spouse recently passed. Have decided to go solo since other family will be on the sailing. If I report to Celebrity will they reprice the booking at solo rate on a fully booked cruise. Appears solo rate could be as much as our double rate or higher. Also, have the Cruise Care insurance, will they payout the fare associated with my spouse if Celebrity reprices me to solo rate?
  3. Below recently posted to Celebrity forum, would say the pressure on RCL to relax is building. 1 hour ago, MarinerAlex said: In the news today, Carnival bookings are soaring after they changed their testing guidance... just saying Yep, same just reported on CNBC, attributed to relaxed restrictions which eliminated testing up to I believe 16 nights where visiting ports allow. It would appear RCL will be under mounting pressure to align their testing with the other major lines ASAP. Has been reports on both RCL and Celebrity forums where Canadian site for I believe RCL is referencing no testing for under 9 nights, USA site does not reflect any such change. If so, RCL really appears to be falling behind the competition on the restriction lifting issue.

  5. If RCL booking demand softens in relation to CCL and NCL we will most likely see them follow up from the rear.
  6. Agreed! Other two major lines, CCL and NCL have managed to do so beginning early September, about time RCL does the same. Run the risk of lost bookings, could be an incentive to joining the other two fairly soon!
