  1. @hal2008 Allianz has some great policies. I purchase all my trip insurance from them. If you are a AAA member they offer trip insurance through their travel dept. Even if you are a member you can still purchase a policy from them. Travel Guard is another good choice as well.
  2. There have been some policy changes regarding price drops. I always book what I am comfortable spending and leave it at that. I have never seen a price drop on any sailing I have done. It always seems to be a price increase. LOL!
  3. I know EmeD is accepted but all these others you speak of are accepted by the cruise line?
  4. Booked a somewhat last minute cruise (October) to Canada/NE on Voyager. Decided to book a GTY cabin. I understand that cabin assignment could come early or the day of departure, or anywhere in between. When was the earliest you were ever assigned a cabin?
  5. Hi-Booked a last minute Canada and New England cruise out of my homeport of Boston. We are used to the bigger, newer ships on Royal and a little worried about Voyager. What do you all love about Voyager?
  6. Hi- Wanting to book a new ship and torn between Panorama or Mardi Gras. We live in Boston and flying to either port is no worry. Sometime between Jan-March to get out of the Boston winter. Both ships look great just torn. Any insight would be appreciated.
  7. Plus, this is a Canada/New England cruise in Sept. So probably not a lot of kids.
  8. We ALWAYS do my time dining. Not this time, I decided to change to 8pm dining. With all the issues I have been seeing on these boards about long waits (even with reservations) and the MTD issues, it was a no brainer to change it to 8pm. I will deal with eating that late. Happy cruising everyone.
  9. Yes. Send me an email via messaging on here. Not sure if it still works. Would love to chat with you pre-cruise.
  10. We loved our BW on Allure. We didn't find it particularly noisy. We were on deck ten pretty far aft, but perfect location to see the AQ show right from our balcony. We loved that we could see the water as well. We loved it so much that we booked another one, two cabins down from our original stateroom, on Wonder of the Seas in 2023. I have heard the CP can get a bit hot. But I think you can't go wrong with either.
  11. Also, leave plenty of time for traffic as well. Traffic to Mia can be pretty bad at times.
  12. Welcome to Royal. I hope you have a great cruise. If you haven't already get yourself a log in for Royal Caribbean and download the app as well. But if you log into your account, you can see what is offered for shore excursions on your specific sailing. Not all the excursions may be loaded into the system but you will get the general idea. You can also purchase the dining package, internet, key etc through there too. The app is good and you can see deck plans, and other specifics of your reservation. Then once you are on the ship, you can do a lot more with it. I haven't answered all your questions but I hope this helps a bit.
  13. We will be waving to you. We are getting off the the ship on the 25th. I see you are in South Attleboro. We are in Salem, MA.
  14. Thanks for the input. Yes, we have been to Maine many times and husband went to college in Maine. Living so close in Boston it is an easy drive. But haven't been to that part of Canada yet so really looking forward to that part. Plus, I am guessing that there won't be a ton of kids onboard either. Which is always a plus.
  15. Hi All- Soooo excited. We just booked Voyager of the Seas Canada and New England. We live just outside Boston, so the port is in our back yard. We haven't cruised since the suspension. I am used to the larger ships Oasis and Freedom class but have sailed on smaller ships on other lines. I am 52 (53 at time of sailing) and husband is 58. We felt a little better about booking because there will most likely be less children and an older demographic onboard. For those who have sailed Voyager..what did you like and dislike? Happy cruising
  16. I have been in a few connecting staterooms, never heard any noise.
