  1. Yes RCI provides a shuttle bus for a fee from either Venice airport or from somewhere in the city to the port of Ravenna. This is the safest method of transportation as you will be dropped off directly at the ship. I believe there is also a shuttle to the port from Ravenna station for those using the train from Venice.
  2. Toward the end of your cruise you will receive paperwork inviting you to submit your airline departure times. You will then be allocated a shuttle time from Ravenna in order to link with your flight from Venice. The shuttles started from 7am and went through till about 10:30am. There appeared to be lots of buses in use and they all left from right outside the cruise dock and arrived at Venice airport approx two hours later. There were also shuttles going in to the city of Venice for those not requiring the airport.
  3. We are in our 60s and it took us approx 40 minutes. Just take your time and enjoy the view.
  4. Both cash or credit cards are acceptable. Seem to recall 30 euros per head which includes the shuttle bus back to Fira.
  5. You can get to most beaches on a public bus for a couple of Euros. The bus terminal is an easy walk from the tender dock and is just the other side of the windmills. All the beaches have a great selection of tavernas for eating and drinking virtually right on the sand.
  6. We have just returned from B2B cruises from Ravenna on RCI. There were plenty of shuttle buses to Ravenna from Venice airport departing at approx 45 minute intervals. Just look for the RCI ground staff at arrivals.
  7. We were in Dubrovnik mid September and the kronar was the local currency. Euros were occasionally accepted but tourist attractions and the local buses would only accept kronar. Many establishments displayed signs stating euros not accepted. There were however plenty of currency exchanges and ATMs.
  8. I am fully vaccinated and on a 7 night Mediterranean and a negative test is still required at check in. This appears to be a requirement for cruises visiting Greece. Different rules for different departure ports.
  9. Didn't mean proof of vaccination documents were unnecessary just meant uploading from the ap was now considered unnecessary by RCCL. I have previously stated we would be travelling with vax docs and able to produce them at any time.
  10. I suspect this has happened because RCCL is allowing unvaccinated passengers as from 5 September. This makes proof of vaccination documents unnecessary and therefore no ability to upload from the ap. We will still be travelling with proof of vaccination documents both in digital and hard copy just in case we are requested to confirm our status.
  11. Not sure what you mean by concierge. Cruise Director?? Guest Relations??
  12. If show times are in the ap does that mean you can see your Cruise Compass before boarding day. I have already made transfer arrangements to and from Ravenna.
  13. We are on Brilliance of the Seas departing Venice for 2 x 7 nite Mediterranean cruises in September. We would like to schedule our specialty restaurant bookings around the likely commencement times of the shows. Could someone please confirm the early and late show times for the main theatre. Thank you.
  14. At Australian ports we have always found Princess allow us to bring bottles on board and pay the corkage fee. We prefer to buy 2/3 bottles each port rather than bring on a large quantity at embarkation. Always happy to pay the corkage price and consider ourselves miles in front compared to buying in the dining room at Princess prices. Hopefully we can do the same for our upcoming NZ cruise.
