  1. Not specifically about TPN, but nearly 30 years ago, my dad, who had renal failure and relied on peritoneal dialysis 4 times a day, achieved his wish to go on a cruise- on Canberra. It involved delivery of enough bags of fluid for 4 changes a day plus associated medical sundries. It was all arranged with the cruise line and sufficient bags were delivered straight to the ship. They didn’t need refrigeration. The room steward brought a box when required and all went well. I suggest you liaise ASAP with P&O medical department as I’m sure it should be possible as TPN at home must be much commoner than it used to be. Your local hospital specialists probably can help with arrangements too. Insurance should be possible too though may require a specialised company. I hope you can sort things out and can continue to enjoy holidays ( whether cruises or not). My dad had several holidays abroad, as well as the cruise, which involved delivery of supplies to his holiday accommodation and details of local medical facilities should they be required ( they weren’t!). If it was feasible in the early 90’s I would hope it would be feasible now best wishes
  2. We were in a similar predicament a few months ago having taken the plunge and booked our first post Covid cruise. Our annual travel insurance covered a holiday to Crete as it was booked before hubby started having frequent severe dizzy spells, but wouldn’t cover the cruise as it was booked after his dizziness started. He was referred to ENT (and is still waiting). Since dizziness could have serious underlying causes we really needed to know before the final balance was paid. So we went privately even though doing so is against our principles. It also seems rather trivial that we couldn’t go on holiday when there is so much else going on in the world. However for less than £200 he had a thorough check with ann ENT consultant and was given a benign diagnosis. No tests were required although we were also prepared to pay for CT scans etc if needed. The insurance company were happy to provide cover so we are all set. The bonus is that the dizziness has now gone too! It may be worth Technoman considering a private consultation Best wishes
  3. Don’t worry- we’ll make sure it’s all spent! I can see lots of speciality dining, limelight club, bottles of fizz etc
  4. We’ve got B2B cruises booked in Jan/Feb, and have got an extra £150 for the 2weeks and £100 for the week long. Since we got £780 and £390 on booking with the offer a few weeks ago, we might be struggling to spend it all! We’ve also got shareholder inc too. This will be our first cruise since Jan 2020 when we booked on board for Iona for Jan 21. We’ve booked virtually the same cruise in the same cabin and although the headline figure per night was higher, the net cost per night with all the extra OBC - even without the extra today- is slightly lower.
  5. Thanks everyone. And for the photos Graham. I hadn’t appreciated that the bed might not be in its “usual” place on P&O as all the ships we have been on have had the same location. We were aware that Celebrity alternate configuration and made sure we had the sofa near the balcony. Now the question is do we try it our stick to what we know! Decisions decisions…
  6. Thanks, I’m not sure if I want that layout so will have a think. When we booked on board in 2020 nobody mentioned the different layout and it’s only from reading this forum that I became aware of it.
  7. Sorry to resurrect this thread but we are thinking about taking the plunge and booking our first post Covid cruise. We were booked on Iona in 10509 for Jan 2021. It has the long balcony and I wondered what the bed set up was. We would prefer the sofa at the balcony and wondered if anyone has any information about that cabin, or the similar cabins on decks directly above. Thanks, Scarlet
  8. The Scottish vaccine status letter is still only valid for 3 months but it arrives very quickly after request. We recently ordered new copies for a recent european holiday as we didn’t want to risk carrying out of date paper copies (although you can’t become unvaccinated!). We’ll probably have to reorder again as we have another holiday booked in September
