  1. My husband used a scooter. His older scooter would fit into the ordinary oceanview cabin with the arms removed from the seat. The next scooter would not fit. He was allowed to leave it in the area near the elevators during the day, at night they charged the scooter for him at the Guest Relations desk. Contact Special Needs if you need more information. special_needs@rccl.com Have a great cruise.

  2. I live in New Tampa and go back and forth to Fort Lauderdale all the time. You can get to Port Everglades very easily well under 4 hours. Traveling on a weekend you have no concern with traffic on I-595 from the end of Alligator Alley to the Port.

  3. You may be pleasantly surprised with the handicapped cabin. The balcony cabins are the size of a junior suite to allow access on a scooter or wheelchair. The sink/counter height is the same as any other cabin. The shower is very large to allow wheelchair access. The big difference is the drains in the floor for the shower. Ask your cabin steward to leave you 2 extra towels to place on the floor on the other side of the drain to keep the water in the shower. You will find this cabin enjoyable, not to mention the balcony is 1 1/2 times as large as a regular cabin.

  4. We have done both. My favorite cabin is the OS...but that said I absolutely love the Crown Loft! Deck 17 is quiet and has the best service on Allure. There is no noticeable movement being so high... and the quiet is amazing. There is nothing like the views offered from the Crown Loft. If you have never sailed on Allure my vote would be the Crown Loft. If you have specific questions I'll try to answer.

  5. We have stayed in both and we love both... but if I have to choose I would pick the CL. But not 1730. We do not like the sports deck view due to the lack of privacy... but love the side facing lofts. The space is very nice and the cabin does not feel narrow at all... The two story glass walls that look out on the ocean can't be compared to any other view available. With the curtains open you get amazing views from the bed on 'deck 18'. Also the quiet of deck 17 as well as the phenomenal cabin stewards on 17 wins hands down as our choice.

  6. Just curious how the handicap accessible Crown Loft Suite works on Oasis as far as the stairs. Is there a stairway lift or even small elevator for reaching the upper level? Also are both bathrooms wheelchair accessible?

Yes there is a small elevator to access deck 18 of the Crown Loft Cabin. This is a great cabin... we had the good fortune to sail in it last September. Both Bathrooms are Handicap accessible Here is a link to our pictures:

  7. Hello Radio!! So happy to see your live report from Allure. This is the next best thing to being there! We really enjoy your live reports and especially look forward to this one since we are doing the same itinerary on Allure in September. Very much looking forward to your comments on the differences between Oasis and Allure. Best wishes for warm breezes and calm seas.
