  1. Oh, that should work thanks. Don't know why I didn't think of that.
  2. Is this new? I haven't cruised HAL since 2019, but if I'm remembering correctly we used to be given our key card on checkin pre-boarding.
  3. Years ago I had a good one. Unfortunately the one that is now assigned to me is terrible. She's flat out lied to me, and ignores email questions. I wish I knew how to get reassigned to someone else.
  4. Ooh! Good idea, I'll look for some.
  5. Thanks everyone! Can't wait to tell her, she's going to be so happy!
  6. We are sailing in 2025 on the Eurodam with a young lady that has never cruised before. Is HAL still doing towel animals? She mentioned that she was really hoping for towel animals because she thinks they are so cute. I haven't sailed HAL since 2019 and wasn't sure if they still do them.
  7. I am in the US. Thanks, I've pretty much given up trying to find one. I contact them, ask for an estimate, and it's never favorable. People say talk to others on your cruise and ask them, but I'm introverted and not comfortable going up to strangers and asking if they have a good TA.
  8. I had to call to get them to apply it even though it was verified months ago and displayed online while booking. I wish it would automatically apply so as not to waste so much time on the phone mostly on hold. 🙁 I also wish they would just reply to emails to answer questions or fix easy things. I emailed 3 different addresses over a week and not one responded. I had to call and waste 40 minutes, 30 of which was on hold. It's so frustrating and inefficient. I'd use a TA if I could find reliable one, but unfortunately I haven't been fortunate enough to find one that offers onboard credits or discounts or anything and their prices are higher and have non-refundable deposits.
  9. Thanks this is very helpful! Would anyone by chance know the cost of upgrade to multiple devices if need it?
  10. I see on our package it says Premium wifi for 1st and 2nd guests but there's no mention of the number of devices. Is each person restricted to a single device or can a person connect with multiple devices?
  11. I can't find it. I've looked under Beverage Packages and under All Packages. I booked myself without a TA, but I may be able to contact my PCC. Thanks.
  12. I've been looking all over my booking to add the HIA package for the 3rd person, but I can't seem to find it. How do I do this?
  13. Looking at the package details and everything (excursion, specialty dinner, beverages, gratuity) say's for 1st/2nd guest. How does this work if you have a third person? Do they pay additional for everything, including gratuities? Can you pre-pay for the 3rd person's gratuities?
  14. Once my tabs had a boarding pass tab clicking on it had the QR code and the check-in window times.
  15. I never said anyone should stay home. You're right there is risk in everything, even staying home. People have different experiences and different comfort levels. That's why everyone should be mindful of their own comfort level of safety and not be scoffed at or mocked by others. Have you ever been alone and followed? It can be scary. I listed 2 concerns, not show stoppers. Obviously I'm still going and with the medallion but that doesn't mean I can't also consider risk.
  16. I have my first cruise with medallion coming up. If I had known a key card was still an option I may have opted for it instead. My concerns with the medallion have to do with its proximity based unlocking of cabin door. Sounds like a great idea if you have your hands full, but a couple of scenarios concern me. 1) It used to be if you lost your card, no worries. Someone finding the card would have to insert it in each door to see where it fit, which would look really suspicious. Now someone can just walk the decks slowly past the doors and hear the door unlock and see the panel. Yes I know, once reported the old one can be disabled, but there is still a window of risk. 2) When walking alone, maybe late at night, back to your cabin, if you are uncomfortable someone is following you, you could just keep walking to public/populated place and no one would know your stateroom. Now they may be able to determine which stateroom is yours as you walk past. People can scoff, but cruises are like little cities and bad things unfortunately can and do still happen.
  17. My adult kids are the same. My daughter has been cruising since she was 2.5 years old and my son since he was 9.
  18. That can be a bug in the software displaying the data and not the actual data. So one app shows data correctly and the other has a bug and shows it incorrectly.
  19. Thanks everyone for the great information. No mobility issues, just an over planner. 😁 i know i want to go to spa upon boarding as I have questions and was just wondering would I need to go up or down or forwarded, so this was really helpful! I have the app and have been getting familiar with the deck plans, so i think im good. Thanks again.
  20. Thanks everyone! Do you choose the forward or aft ramp or are you directed to a specific ramp?
  21. I've been studying the Discovery deck plans to be familiar with the ship before boarding. On embarkation I'm wondering what deck we start on, so I know how to get to where I want to go first.
  22. Can you book a single day (same day as spa treatment) or do you have to book the entire week? If so how much is a day?
