  1. Excuse me. I want no kids anywhere near the running track. Nearly as bad as old people walking on it the wrong way and just not moving out of the way.
  2. being from the UK i find it strange that people cruise round it. For a number of reasons. You could drive across the whole of the UK, so much quicker than cruising round it, and see so much more. Its bloody cold, nearly all the time, and wet. You certainly wont see the best of the UK on a cruise. I would imagine the same could be said about Ireland. Dublin is fabulous, but its much better at night, aand by this time I would imagine those on cruises would have departed.
  3. we only take paracetomol and antacids. But they are more for the day after.
  4. On a side note I thonk I have covid now. Really bad cough. Left Celebrity beyond last friday. There was a lot of coughing people on teh ship, and about 7 days in they suddenly had people at the hand wash stations demanding people wash their hands prior to entering the Buffet. ( Yes, there are people that dont wash their hands) It just seemed peculiar that they started doing this a week in. or did they klnow sometihing? If I do have covid it will be for the 3rd time
  5. it really was. And even though England lost, we dont really mind because this england team are transforming the sport. And the aussues are very very good.
  6. Never saw signs like this on Celebrity beyond last week. What ship was this?
  7. Easy ls also known as a wrong ‘un, a googly is a type bowl in which the spin of the ball causes it to veer sharply to the leg side of a right-handed batsman. or a ball that looks like a leg-break when delivered but turns like an off-break
  8. cricket is easy to understand: You have two sides, one out in the field and one in. Each man that's in the side that's in goes out, and when he's out he comes in and the next man goes in until he's out. When they are all out, the side that's out comes in and the side that's been in goes out and tries to get those coming in, out. Sometimes you get men still in and not out. When a man goes out to go in, the men who are out try to get him out, and when he is out he goes in and the next man in goes out and goes in. There are two men called umpires who stay out all the time and they decide when the men who are in are out. When both sides have been in and all the men have been out, and both sides have been out twice after all the men have been in, including those who are not out, that is the end of the game
  9. You are quite correct. Humans have been cruel to animals for centuries
  10. Its actually a fact that your opinion is right. It's your opinion.
  11. I have no issue with them and actually enjoy a few on YouTube. Cruise with Ben and David is my favourite one. These fellas love their food. And always show what they are eating. They convinced me to try the French onion soup on Beyond. And I now love it. And can't wait to get back on board for more.
  12. Maybe it was because we had had various drinks in other bars prior to getting to the martini bar. Taste buds might have been already sweetened. Wife couldn't stand it either.
  13. There waa a couple.of cocktails that had Jalapeños in them. They were very strong ones.
  14. This may well be the case. It was like sucking on a salt tablet. Not sure how anyone can enjoy drinking something salty as a drink mind. The nearest thing it reminded me of was accidentally swallowing salt water whilst swimming in the sea.
  15. Yes. It was the first on the list, on the night we decided to work our way through the list of cocktails. It was quickly replaced with a drinkable one. Even the bartender laughed when i tasted it.
  16. I had a vodka martini with dill pickle. It was shockingly bad. The worst one was a martini with olive brine. Was like sucking sea water.
  17. Yup thats me too. I am very conscious of how fast these days go by so I want to max every minute. Sleeping for 8 hours for 11 nights is 3.5 days sleeping. Sleeping should be banned on cruise shjips.
  18. Nah. Not at all. There is so much to see and do on the ship, so when we are at a port I dont fancy, or somewhere we have seen previously, we may want to spend the time relaxing on a near empty ship. The other bars of which you speak, are not free. Also, a quiet port day on ship, helps recovery from errrrrrrrrr, the previous nights bar activity.
  19. I really really disliked Santorini. I suspect it was revulsion at the treatment of the donkeys. How any self respecting human can ride one of those poor things up those steps is beyond my comprehension. Loved Kusadasi in Turkey. And Istanbul is incredible. I have a soft spot for Naples.
