Starlink now on Grandeur. Too bad the entire day it was 0.04 down and 0.04 up. Tried on a wired Royal computer and it was 61mbps+. This ship desperately needs new access points.
Grandeur had been pretty bad wifi wise; not as bad as Explorer (which in our experience was the worst ever), but it was still virtually unusable in December! If starlink is there now and it’s still bad, that’s very discouraging.

No not negative at all
OP asked about Allure
Grandeur wasn’t even on their radar
I supplied the current Allure working emails if they asked for Symphony I would have given them Symphony not Jewel
all cool
Happy New year to you
hopefully 2023 is a positive one for you
And I let them know that if for some reason it did not work that it might be because there’s a new format on at least 1 ship. We have sailed Grandeur many times in the past and was emailed from the 01 form from the suite concierge (yes, even though there is only one concierge). Which is why we were surprised when the 01 email didn’t work. Thus, I was suggesting that if the original types did not work the newer form may (and that might apply to *any* size ship). It just seemed quite silly to have such disagreement over this very reasoned suggestion as if my comment intended to be helpful was somehow in error or problematic. It was neither. The suggestion was relevant to any size ship and hopefully will be helpful to someone even if not this OP.

The 01 and 02 would not have worked anyways on a ship with only 1 concierge
That’s why they bounced 😎
Actually no, it bounced because for grandeur at least they change the format of the email (they once used the 01 format and they no longer do). It is now GR_SuitesConcierge@rccl.com. My entire point was that many ships may have now changed and that the old email formats may not work. I was trying to help the OP not start an unnecessary convo about the format examples I used in trying to assist. But somehow the tiniest of issues can be made negative on CC.- 1

Single suite concierge on the smaller ships.
Yes, of course. I was not referring to the 01 and the O2 designations, but rather to the fact that the suite concierge email for the GR concierge was changed entirely very recently from the way the suite concierge’s emails have been previously (and thus I assume that it is quite possible that more than one ship has changed the format of its suite concierge‘s email address).
@Merion_Mom I had it bounce back from GR_Concierge01@rccl.com and then tried also GR_Concierge02@rccl.com and GR_Concierge@rccl.com as well for good measure and all bounced back. It turned out it was because on Grandeur they are no longer using this old email format for the suite concierge (but I did finally reach him by getting the Diamond concierge to forward my email to him (and discovered the new email address). I was only offering to go and look up that new format for the OP if the old format email for the concierge on Allure didn’t work out.

Hello there,
Dose anyone know the email for the allure of the seas suite concierges email? I want to email them to reserve dinning. I leave in a week, and have not received any correspondence from them.
Many thanks
Recently, we had to email a suite concierge a little early on Grandeur, but using the usual format of {ship abbreviation}_conicerge01@rccl.com the email to the concierge failed as undeliverable. I don’t remember off the top of my head what the new format was, but if your email bounces back using the email addresses above just tag me in a post in this thread and I will look it up the new format and post it for you. I hope that makes sense. -

last month on the explorer at least 90% of the people were wearing formal attire and I was like , why everyone is wearing that. before the pandemic formal night was relaxed at least in all my Caribbean cruises from miami that I took but omg last one on the explorer they really took it seriously and now my gf finds out that is on the daily compass .
There’s no need to stress. It never stopped, there has always been a formal or “dressed up” evening. But, don’t dress up if you don’t wish to. We really enjoy it, some of our best portraits were made on the ships. In 2022 there are so few occasions to really dress up so we use the cruises to do this and I’m sure that there’s plenty of other people who feel the same. But if you don’t want to dress in formal wear then don’t. It is that easy 👍🏼

Sort of surprised that a lot of experienced cruisers would do a B2B without having the same cabin booked for both (or more) cruises. Having the same cabin is my first rule when booking a B2B.
Not all of us book the two cruises at the same time. For instance we had a 9 day in a grand suite that we booked 1.5 years out, but then a year later the casino comped us me the 5 day sailing prior. The casino wasn’t going to give us a free grand suite (even if the same suite had been available available by that time) and I wanted the 2 week b2b even if in different cabins. That situation has happened twice. Of course it would be great to have a B2B in the same cabin, but sometimes that doesn’t work out. -
We are on a back to back on Grandeur currently and only packed those things that were not on in hangers. The rest were transferred as usual. 👍🏼

Question is, how is the wifi. If you cannot get connected, Starlink is useless.
We all understand that there are tons of related and tangential issues, however my comment was directed to the OP‘s question as to a list of ships with Starlink.

Just an fyi - we are onboard Grandeur and were told the Starlink was scheduled for this ship in Feb 2023.

I started reading this and saw Bob (Clarea) was posting and was like "No way, Bob's back!"...whomp whomp
I had the same reaction in the first second and in the next second thought “no way” and checked the date. I think these thread should expire after six months or a year. 😳 -
The suite’s concierge for Grandeur is currently Salvador Orzal (I think that may have been reported by someone else recently) and the email address has now changed to GR_SuitesConcierge@rccl.com. I have to assume some other suite’s concierges have changed their email addresses in the same way.

It’s been on and off for us since the early Black Friday sale began. It will likely continue to be a problem through the holidays since clearly the issue is not corrected. All you can do is just keep trying. 🤞🏼

Maybe. We like many of the smaller ships, some over larger ships (like Grandeur). But then we didn’t like Explorer at all, but always enjoy Symphony. You really have to take it ship by ship and individual by individual.

I am so very sorry to hear this news. I have been at that terrible place and underhand how lonely and surreal that it is. It is a difficult journey and I know that your cruise critic family wishes you well on it.

I have an email for Grandeur's Diamond Concierge. gr_diamondconcierge@rccl.com Why don't you email that Concierge and ask for the email for the Suite Lounge Concierge. One of the two emails that you referenced in your post should have worked as they are standard Royal Caribbean Concierge addresses.
Great idea Sherri, thanks 🙂 I will just ask him/her to forward it. I have no idea why the usual concierge email addresses were not working, maybe Royal’s infamous iT department mucking up the works 😒

Thanks for sharing that great link. My brother and I have been to San Juan a few times and we were trying to find something we hadn't done before. The map by @AlohaLivininspired me to try putting together a coffee tour of San Juan. My brother is a total coffee geek.
Muchas gracias!
I am glad that you found it useful 😊 I had decided we wanted to do a tour of what we wanted to see and it didn’t make sense to do all that work just for us for that one day! Have a wonderful trip.

So a mock booking for my cruise says suites are sold out, yet it gives me the option on the Royal Up to bid on a JS, GS, or OS. What’s up with that?

They are hoping to cut any losses, hedging their bets against people who might late cancel (which can happen at any level of reservation). While it is a shot, it could work out in your favor.

Either get access or address the issue when you get back.
If you are not able or willing to assist, that’s fine, I understand. But we will be gone up until the time we get back to sail. And I really need to get through to them. I’m not asking to break into Fort Knox I just need to email a concierge. -

Wait till they reach out.
That would be a lovely idea. But we’re going to be out of the country where we can’t really have access to email so I need to email them first on a specific issue. It is not an issue of me trying to jump the gun.
if anyone can assist, that would be great, it would be appreciated 😊

I haven’t been able to figure out who the Grandeur suite’s concierge‘s is, but I’ve been trying to email him/her since we board Lady G fairly soon for a B2B. The problem is it that my emails keep getting bounced back (I have tried both GR_concierge@rccl.com and GR_concierge01@rccl.com with the same result). Anyone have the secret formula to reach then in November 2022?!
@Surfguyxxx Is Salvador in the suite’s lounge or Diamond lounge? Would you please post the email address from which he emailed you? My emails are all bouncing back.

Today we are 26 days out and my minimum bid of $200 was accepted.
Amazing that they’re doing it so early. We have a friend that is on Grandeur with us in a couple of weeks and they also got their Royalup acceptance weeks ago. Nice! -

I was wondering if the ship sponsored meet and mingle is ever coming back? I was on Grandeur last week and was glad Quest was offered again. Maybe they'll bring back the Meet and Greet?
We would love to have it come back! I have no idea how they first began, whether CC was instrumental in setting it up or it was a RCCL’s activities initiative. But my guess is that the best idea way to restore them would be for those interested in restarting the meet and mingle to contact Royal by email and to also discuss it with activities directors when onboard whenever possible. We are certainly willing.- 1

We have given up on Mr. Sancho‘s. The service was just terrible the last time we were there. But luckily there are so many other good options at Cozumel!
