The pics aren't loading (perhaps an issue at my end!) but appreciate the time and response... not a huge deal as we'll be back on the Grand soon, albeit not soon enough, but just a curiosity on behalf of my 6yo who was inquiring

Hey there! So sorry about the pics not loading! I'll attach them as files and you can try downloading them to view them instead, since it seems like pasting it directly is giving it the issue. Please let me know if I can be of more assistance!

  2. @dides! thank you so much for all the detailed reporting and the work you're putting into the Live while on your holiday! very much appreciated!

I have some questions that might be a little random, so do apologize in advance. I noticed Adam Love is the inaugural ED from the video he was in with Alex on the Princess FB page & the Patter and I was wondering if he will also cycle out the same time as Alex? Alex mentioned he would be tag-teaming with Simone Smith way back when he first announced his move to Sky as CD, but I'm not sure if the arrangement is maybe just happening in the states? If you could ask Alex about Adam & Simone, that would be nice.

Also, the sports complex on Deck 18 seems skimpier than what was offered on, say, the Regal. The basketball court is turned sideways now, but that seems to take away the room that used to exist for the outdoor exercise machines and table tennis tables. Are there still any of those machines or table tennis tables (and if they're relocated anywhere else/supplemented by anything else?) Thanks so much in advance!

Regarding formal dinner times, does the room darken for the ambiance, play music during dinner, candlelight, etc?  I like formal dinners is why I ask.  I'm headed to Hawaii next month and have my cabin on Carib Deck in the C400 group.  Know anything about those accommodations?  Jack

Hey Jack, I can help out with your formal dinner inquiry and OP can provide their input as well. I noticed you might be living in a suite as you're in the 400s on Caribe deck, so I'll write just a tad bit on Club Class just based on some superficial observation. We ate in Da Vinci (where Club Class dinners are also held), but I don't think the ambiance would be different in Botticelli or Michelangelo, the other two dining rooms. For the formal nights, I did not notice any particular difference in dining room atmosphere and ambiance between formal nights and normal nights. Club Class waiters are dressed in the same get-up on formal night. Lobster is generally offered on the menu of the second formal night (speaking in terms of a 7-day). No dimming, no candlelight, and no ambient music is played, as far as I can recollect. The dining rooms can get pretty loud in general regardless. We did not dine as Club Class but were seated next to some Club Class guests and noticed they received some more personalized service and more constant check-ups, but in terms of ambiance, I don't really have any further details -- apologies in advance.

For a specific ambiance, the specialty restaurants could possibly provide a more personalized/intimate atmosphere, depending on your preferences. For more information about Club Class, do try and search around the forum as well, as some others have provided their unique experiences. Hope this might help a little!

  4. And here's a 11-minute video with Jan Swartz at today's press conference showing off the new ship. Video's good for sitting back and watching the information come to light, but it reveals nothing much more than what's already been released here and on the web. In just a few words to sum up the ship, it seems that it will be very similar to the Enchanted (with Take Five, Crooners, "Premium Oceanview" rooms, etc.) and any new tidbits (such as the likes of new theater productions or escape rooms) will likely trickle out over time.

  5. Hi there! For any of you who wanted an update, Captain Tim Stringer informed us during the 9/21/19 sailing that the new "Princess Luxury Bed" mattresses would begin being installed on the 9/28/19 sailing and thereafter. I'm not sure how long it would take but I'm sure they'd try to get those beds in as fast as possible. I saw an Instagram post or story that showed a picture of the mattresses coming in, but I can't find it anymore for some reason (I'll try to link it if I can find it). Hope this helps!

  6. According to a post made by Lexi, the Regal's current CD, on her Instagram, it's suggested that the Beatlemaniacs are not crossing the Atlantic with the Regal for its TA and likely won't be on the 9/21 sailing either. Of course, these are mere assumptions and also do not answer the OP's question (sorry 😢 ), but are just some hints about the Beatlemaniacs' schedule.
