    I am on

i  am on the cruise right now!  No Ports were tendered. All tours were marked as low strenuous level, but in very small print at the end of the description of tour they stated no wheelchairs, scooters or walkers are allowed. I am absolutely horrified at this. My husband uses a walker!

    I am on the Enchanted Princess B2B 28 & 28 January Caribbean!

I use a wheelchair and do feel included when cruising. What ship? What itinerary? Tender ports?

  3. Thank you so much for your precise answer. I just booked quite recently and I just got an an email to bid on an upgrade. The prices, I believe, are per person/per cruise!  It seemed awfully cheap to me, but maybe that’s the going rate.

  4. I think you are always better to take a cab to the airport whilst keeping your eyes on your bags. When you take a shuttle, your bags are put on the shuttle separately. Sometimes your luggage goes in a separate vehicle altogether and you have to wait for it. If you can’t manage your luggage, get porters!

  5. Jsn55:  This is exactly the way I feel. I am reading about some passengers who spend hours and hours trying to use a piece of technology that is anything BUT USER FRIENDLY. When I first tried to get onto it, it wouldn’t even let me register. It turned out that someone had transposed day and month of my birthdate. So, right away I experienced stress for something that actually is a simple fix. We don’t need this!

  6. Wowzz:  I have already managed to fill in all the answers (I think) lol. I have always loved Princess. I feel that they are a really good middle of the road cruise line, but most people don’t want to have all this stress that I am reading about on here!  Maybe we will get a big surprise and all our cruises will go really well!  Gotta keep and open mind and above all a sense of humour!

  7. Thank you for your precise answers. Our first cruise post Covid and can’t believe the amount of work that we are being asked to do with Princess. Princess has been our Go To Cruiseline in the past with only a couple of exceptions, but will have to reconsider our options for the future. After all we are Paying Passengers here and from the sounds of it, a big percentage of us are having some stress with this Medallion!  It’s almost ridiculous!

  8. I’ve just booked the Enchanted and the cruise is sailing SOON. I’m filling in all the required information for the Medallion. I clicked on the DMW and can’t figure it out. Do you have to click on each day (of 20) and book a time for each dinner separately?  Can’t you just turn up any more?
This seems to me to be an awful lot of work for the paying passenger.
the Enchanted is a new ship and I have no idea which DR is better than the other. My hubby uses a walker with some effort and don’t want to turn up at one DR and be told to go to another one at the opposite end of the ship. Thank you for any info re: the dining on this ship!

I was able to print our luggage tags today for our August 29th cruise. You still print these through the Cruise Personalizer on the Princess website.

Unless things have changed, we were always able to just bring our luggage to the dock and the handlers were able to write out luggage tags right there. Is this no longer happening?

  10. So if you fly from Canada to Greece and you get all the necessary Covid tests done before flight. You then stay overnight in Athens before boarding ship, when and where do you get a new Covid test done before getting on ship.

  11. Oh that’s good to know about the App. Our cruise is not until next June and I am already worried about using it. We both have Princess Plus, but my hubby only has a flip phone and from what I read, you can only order 1 drink at a time on your own phone. Princess have really messed up this App “thing.”I am prepared to give it a try, as we really like Princess, but we don’t need this App if it is too much like “hard work.”

Actually, you can get insurance coverage for covid.  Bluecross has lifted the their ban on cruiseship coverage and we looked at a few others, too.  We’re taking the Platinum Insurance with Princess for cancellation purposes and Medipac Travel for medical coverage.  Our cruises are booked for 2022, so hopefully by then other restrictions will be lifted.

Thanks for your info. I still do find the whole thing about insurance so confusing. As I say, we have cancelled our cruise on the new Enchanted Princess and will wait for calmer times, hopefully ahead, before cruising again.  This will also probably be in Europe, as I am not liking what I am hearing out of Florida. I sincerely hope you all have wonderful, safe cruises to wherever!

My wife and I sure want to cruise again and have booked then cancelled a couple as the border remains closed....no driving....we can fly with so much hassle it is hardly worth the effort and the extra stress.....any tips for a west coast couple....have lots of FCC's from Princess and HAL from cruises that were stopped early in the COVID years.....this seem to be going on and on and on.....both luckily have the same dose....lucky us....who would have known...

    Tips for Canadian please....lol......

We’ll, I just reread some of the rules for Canadians and travel. The main one for me is that Canada is still not recommending ANY travel for nonessential reasons, which also means that you cannot get medical insurance, particularly for Covid related reasons!!!  So, as far as I am concerned this is a definitive NO for cruising. I have also just cancelled my upcoming cruise in November!
