  1. Thank you so much!!! I will book with staxi. You have definitely eased my mind.
  2. Thanks @VMax1700 and @FreestyleNovice For your replies. I should have been clearer that I’ll need the train on the 11th and of course that’s when NS won’t be running. I thought it was all day but you’re saying only 4am to 8am? That would be great for me but I haven’t seen that anywhere. Is there someplace I could find that info? I read that in past strikes, NS would at least run trains to Amsterdam from Schiphol for the unaware travelers but nothing to Rotterdam. We arrive at Schiphol around 9pm and I’m envisioning a bit of chaos trying to find transport without NS. I did see Staxi and they look good, but I figured taxis would be at a premium and wouldn’t those drivers rather take regular fares at the higher meter price? I’ve been looking at car services but they all seem like consolidators who arrange rides like Uber and don't have great reviews. And I can only imagine what the Uber surge pricing will be. I was hoping to lock something down before all my options are gone. I was even looking at flixbus. We’ve never flown into Schiphol and have no idea how long it might take to get through immigration. Coming into the country, US passports can’t use the gates. We aren’t checking any luggage. I’m figuring 90 minutes to deplane, wait in line at immigration and get to the curb. Does that sound reasonable? Trying not to panic here. But of course, after flying from the US with a change of planes in Heathrow, uncertain transport is worrying. Thank you both!!!
  3. Well my plan to take the train from Schiphol to Rotterdam is now in jeopardy. Just read that a strike will be taking place September 10-12th. Any recommendations on car services? I saw someone mentioned Blacklane so will check them out. Any other companies recommended? Thanks!
  4. On a regular 7 day, non-WC Saturday to Saturday cruise, what would be the last day they would accept laundry? We have the unlimited because we’re traveling prior to getting on the ship. I’m figuring maybe Wednesday or Thursday for regular service? Thanks.
  5. Thank you so much! It was the answer we were hoping for. Definitely taking the train now!
  6. We’re planning on taking the train from Schiphol to Rotterdam Centraal Station and this discussion has been helpful. We’re flying from the US to Heathrow and continuing to Schiphol. Unfortunately our flight into Schiphol is consistently late and we may not land until 10pm. In the US, public transportation can be a bit sketchy if not downright unsafe later at night. I’m hoping that’s not the case in Amsterdam and taking the train will still be a great option for us. We travel light with only a rolling carry on and small backpack and we are very mobile. We’re staying at the Rotterdam Marriott which is across the street from the station. Hoping someone local can give us some insight. Our backup plan is get a taxi with Staxi and any thoughts on our backup plan is also much appreciated. Thanks!
  7. Similar experience booking HAL for the first time. My HAL number is the same as my Princess number. Doesn’t seem to be causing any issues with my bookings. Maybe at some point it will enable them to share loyalty levels or maybe they were just running out of numbers. 🤭. Seems to be how they do it now.
  8. I’ll give them a call. Thanks so much!
  9. Newbie to HAL so hopefully this isn’t a stupid question….I have the same issue with the disappearing Stock OBC. When I make final payment online, will I be able to print an updated booking confirmation or invoice showing my OBC along with proof of final payment? Thanks!
  10. Just got off the Discovery last weekend. It was around 3.5 feet deep across the entire pool. No deep end.
  11. We purchased the Princess Plus package on the first day of our California Coastal cruise on the Emerald Princess in May 2023. We purchased it from one of the crew while enjoying a slice of pizza on the deck. It was the same price as purchasing pre cruise - $60 per person per day. It instantly activated and included all of the benefits. We were given a flyer with all the benefits listed. For us, there was no difference purchasing pre cruise vs onboard. The crew member was stocked with flyers and proactively told us about it when we ordered drinks from him and he saw we didn’t have a package. Forgot to mention that you have to buy it the first day. After that it is no longer available.
