Our upcoming March sailing on Beyond, for embarkation lunch, there are chicken, chicken, halibut, veggie ravioli, Luminae burger, and Cobb salad. That’s very sad. No steak, or terrible lobster roll, or crab cake sammich
It's only January a lot can change between now and March.

Let’s get these buffet pictures out of the way.
I skipped lunch and dinner so I was hungry tonight. I actually tried the chicken pot pie and it was disgusting. Super dry and there was one pea in the entire dish. One. Not a single other vegetable. Of course that could have just been the dish I selected.
The veggies and cucumber salad were super yummy. I ended up going back for pasta with just garlic and hot pepper flakes. It hit the spot but I crave a good stir fry. I might just have the pasta guy whip up a veggie stir fry one day.
I'm loving your positive post, my buffet runneth over!

Agree that it’s a hassle. We booked Murano on the ship with the Maitre D, and presented our seapass card with our Elite + designation. He confirmed it would be discounted 15%. On our on-Board account, we were charged the full price. That annoyance and the fact that we had to reserve a bit later than our preferred time for dinner (at Blu), we cancelled. It shouldn’t be that hard to get the loyalty benefit they promised and beautifully presented in a pre-printed card we found in our stateroom
Did they correct it for you?

Saw a news item about RCL and Carnival making changes to their everyday menus including not having escargot and French onion soup available every evening - not sure if this was going to be on Celebrity. So are these currently still be offered on the Celebrity ships? Thanks!
It seems that most (not all) that are currently cruising or have been this month, have been reporting a few cuts but nothing drastic, at least from what I have read. Overall very balanced and objective reviews and nothing I have seen has made me pause about booking Celebrity again based on food offerings. Most of the comments here are from those either getting ready to soon (if 2024 & 2025 are soon) cruise etc. and don't like what they are "hearing".

Thanks for your comments. While we have seen a few things that we are not happy with, we will continue cruising with Celebrity. The product is still very good.
I agree, when the price is right and the itins I want, I'll def sail them again.

S3 staterooms are the least expensive. These rooms are located between the Magic Carpet.
and they have much larger balconies

Observation: On our last cruise in 2022 we observed a young lady, 30ish, sitting a a table for two but close enough interact with neighbors, but she did not.
She sat alone, ate and left.
To each their own but its always more enjoyable to banter with others when on a cruise !
indeed, glad it works for you. When solo I eat alone, I don't like banter and I usually don't like others.

Regular gratuities do not include bar tenders. Their gratuity is added to the cost of drinks when purchased individually, so presumably the amount allotted to drinks in the all inclusive package includes drink gratuities. Some people add an extra tip to bartenders, some do not.
so if one buys a stand alone drink package it is the cost of the pacakge plus 20% and theoretically those gratuities go to the bar staff? If the drink package is included in say a premium beverage package included in a suite, then the bartenders are also getting a portion of those tips? I think I'm clear that if no bev package at all and buy per drink then the tip is on the customer on a per drink basis? I don't drink so IDK why I care but dang it's web of the unknown.

No disrespect-- I think you misinterpreted my comment :
All I'm saying is----
"I don't believe for one minute that a CEO, CFO or any other top 500 Fortune Company or any high level Executive in any Company has time for posting on CC during working hours about Gratuities, Buffets, Lounge Hogs, or Who the hell the Captain is on our cruise in 2025".
LOL---If people are at work doing what they are being paid for , what the hell are they doing posting " important stuff "(??) like this on CC ? ( Gov't of Canada employees are exempt ).
Mostly true, as I would like to know what my choices will be for dinner on Tuesday, May 16 and if Mustaffa will be my room steward again, he was amazing. Oh BTW if you see him, please tell him Mr Wood says hello and I hope he loves the magnet I left for him that I picked up in Corsica.

The visa for some countries can take up a full page. That's why the pages need to be blank. A visa sticker won't be put over a used page.
Thank you! None of the countries I visited required a Visa for Americans.

Im not sure you are correct as if you run out of pages you MUST renew..so what else is there to do..I remember years ago I added pages so it was no problem..they wont let you do that today..
Found this...
How far in advance Can a passport be renewed?nine monthsThere is no limit on how early you can renew your passport, but the U.S. Department of State3 suggests renewing it nine months before the expiration date.Jancruz1
Naïve question...but what is it about blank pages? I was on a TA this past fall and they never stamped anything on passport in any of the countries we visited.

They have scones? 😁
Yes but as a cost saving measure, no longer made with butter, rather I Can't Believe It's Not Butter. And the former oatmeal raisin cookies are now oatmeal cookies, raisins are not in the budget.

Next month, you're going to have to decide whether or not to pay for those meals you'll have in May. Isn't it good to know what you're paying for? Or overpaying for?
Oh but I am finally getting wise, my May cruise is on Oceania, remains to be seen if they make such cuts

I think that the rack of lamb was either on the last "chic" night or the last night (#7) I do not remeber if they were on the App or not, I usually did not look at the menus on the App so I would be surprised,
It's 10:18 and I have no idea what I'm having for lunch today, the thought of wondering what's on the menu on my cruise in May...this does not compute

When you compare on price you will find that O is very comparable to X in price for regular everyday cruisers.
X should be concerned about losing that 18%.
No need to visit Royal, Princess, or HAL.
And it is currently, in many categories, much less on O. I really like X a LOT, thus far, have never had a bad cruise with them, on all levels. I just booked my first cruise on O and not because I was not pleased with X, it was strictly a cost decision, though I have been wanting to try O for a while. A cruise I was interested in on X, 7 nights Mediterranean. good itin, May 2023 was over $11k in Celebrity Suite. I looked at O same exact same dates for 7 nights May with a better itin., much better in my opinion and it was LESS than $8K. This is where I think X may be in trouble, at least if one prefers a suite with Retreat access. I'm also considering a cruise in the late fall of this year, again same situation, the cost on O is much less, and I'm not talking about $500, in all I am considering the cost diff is at least $1500 in O's favor. I won't drop the credit yet though until I take the cruise on O in May and if in a few days of setting sail and it is what I expect/hope it will be, I'll go ahead and book on board. A buffet or lack thereof for me won't make my decision on a cruise, but that's just me, others clearly feel differently, so be it, the rest of the X product is IMO a very good solid experience. Some of the stuff people are piling on here though are off the rails...shampoo pumps/brands, cookies, the list goes on. There is a line out there that will take the place if one feels that way, until it doesn't, then go find another, that's the beauty of options.

Does it list Luminae in the cruise contract? If not it is something that can be taken away.
Even if in the contract, it can be taken away per the itsy bitsy tiny print, they cover their a** quite well

Currently on the Apex and friends have the classic package and are getting martinis no problem at the martini bar. Note however, the martini bar has switched to the small martini glasses so that is likely why they are allowing it now.
I hope you are showing off your big one, CG, you know the margarita glass.

I log on celebritycruise.com, after checking my reservation, I signed out.
When I clicked on celebritycruise.com again, I still found my name appear on the top right hand corner of the screen. Therefore I sign out again.
I clicked on celebritycruise.com again, I still saw my name there, it meant that my account hasn't been log out. I tried few times, my name still there.
Anyone have the same problem? How to solve it?
Or my celebrity account would be sign out automatically if the account has been inactive for a while (i.e. one hour)?
Thanks!
If you checked the "stay logged in box" that may do it. Look on the main page and see if that box is checked, if so, just uncheck and you should be good.

This is all bs as you know. I remember when the Edge first came out and the poll on the IV cabins was taken. Many pro and con voted but never crossed the threshold.
Hope you enjoy Oceania, we preferred Viking but it was an age thing.
Thanks! LOL on your Viking preference. I'm looking forward to Oceania and as for age, I am 63, my husband is a tad younger, but when we travel or at home by 9:30 we are ensconced in our room and the zzzz's are not far behind.

And what business aims to lose 18% or more of their customers?
The others choose to eat in the buffet occasionally because they are tired after a long days of excursions, do not want to dress, do not want the 2 hour dinner, etc. Still above 50%.
By the same logic the specialty dining rooms are not being heavily utilized so they should go away also.
I wish there was an option of how many Retreat guests eat in the buffet - I'll vote first, NEVER
