  1. Actually, the more I think about it, I think we are talking about two different things. I’m not talking about when Carnival has a brand new ship and they do a handful of cruises in Europe before sailing the ship to the Caribbean. I’m talking about when they send a ship there and are actively doing European itineraries.
  2. I can’t tell you if you will regret it because I’m not psychic. I can only tell you that while I have only done Carnival cruises, I love the cruise line. My husband and I did a Mediterranean on the Horizon in 2016 and had a fantastic time. We are doing Norway this year and Wales/Scotland/Ireland next year. All on Carnival. We have not found a reason to want to jump ship yet. We are not big drinkers or partiers. But we are always able to have a fun and relaxing vacation on Carnival.
  3. You have to call them and ask. Typically they will transfer what you paid for your deposit, less $50 per person, but you will have to pay a new deposit. Meaning, your old deposit becomes a future cruise credit and FCC’s can’t be used towards deposits.
  4. That must have been the year they restarted, but my point remains. They have not been doing Europe cruises every year for the past 10 years.
  5. They haven’t been sailing in Europe for the past 10 years. They re-started (after not doing Europe cruises at all) in 2018 and then obviously had none for 2020 and 2021. I can’t remember when they stopped sailing there prior to 2018, but it had been awhile. Point is, we haven’t had Europe itineraries from CCL for the past 10 years. Personally, I’m thrilled. We are doing the Norwegian Fjords this year, and I just booked the UK/Wales/Ireland/Scotland itinerary for the exact same week next year. It will be three new countries to add to our list of “have been.”

  7. More like if people have to pay for it, then maybe they won’t just throw it around so that it makes a mess everywhere. And it will help reduce waste.
  8. My husband and I went for our PCR tests together at 3:30 pm on Monday. By Tuesday morning he has his results. It’s now after midnight (technically Wednesday now) and I still don’t have my results. Makes no sense to me, but I’m glad we also had proctored rapid tests to take as back-up earlier today because otherwise I would be losing my mind right now with worry.
  9. Just an update: by the time my PVP called back I had decided that I didn’t want to spend the $1,500+ to switch to the suite. Well, as faith would have it I received an upsell call today for that very suite for only $700. So I saved $800 due to my PVP not being available that day. Worked out for me. 😁
  10. Curious as to what my options are. We are booked on a cruise sailing in less than a week. There’s a room that opened up that I want to switch to, but I can’t get ahold of my PVP. Is there anything else I can do to be sure I don’t loose the chance to get the room?
