I disagree with you on that. I don't agree with the use of grand statements like the ONLY way to bring cruising back is with full vaccination. No, it isn't. It's ONE way, but not the ONLY way. Your cruise isn't going to be interrupted by quarantine. And I don't see how DeSantis's lawsuit is hurting anyone, he literally just won it. There are common sense approaches to mitigating the risk (not eliminating it altogether, that's pie-in-the-sky fantasyland and won't happen), and cruising has proven to be safe. Have to sign off for now, have a great evening!
You are spot on! Great post!

The entire disclosure can be found here. I haven’t sifted thru it yet, but I think this is a solid win for Florida. Yes, the injunction is temporary, but the new standards are jus a suggestion.
If cruise lines are not required to report out positive cases, no chance of the Petri dish label. Thats a major long term gain imo. Hallelujah

Next question- how many times is the CDC going to court lol
Bingo! This is good thing and today a is a good day! I'm very happy for this win.

Have to say im Pretty surprised by the ruling. Desantis wants to continue to pretend like there is no Covid.
He is not pretending there is no Covid, he is just following the actual science. Florida is doing great, it is time for people to get back to living again. Great win for Florida and a great day for Cruisers!

Agreed. People who think this is a great idea will feel differently if they are imprisoned in their room because they may have been somewhere near someone who had a positive covid test.
Exactly!

Nope, not a chance. I'm fully vaccinated AND I've had Covid. Not a chance I'd cancel.
Same here! Not a chance I would cancel, I'm ready to sail.

The Macadamia nut ice cream I had at Cagney's on the POA is something I still dream about 2 years later.
I have never heard of Macadamia ice cream but that sounds so good. I have got to try it. I will be on a search for it on my next NCL cruise lol. 🤩

Do you think Cruise Prices will Drop with all the people on here claiming their cancelling their cruises since RC will allow non Vaxer's to cruise? I really hope so as I need to book more cruises!
Nope, for every person that is unhappy about Royals choice there are probably three or more that are happy about it. I live in Florida and it seems like most people here are happy about Royals decision. A lot of cruisers down here are talking about booking Royal. Hopefully prices drop but I do not see it anytime soon. hopefully I'm wrong on that.

Yeah that persons view is the extreme. I mean some people can't even get vaccinated because of medical reasons. What are these people lepers? I do believe the cruise lines should provide choice and allow cruisers to choose the vaccinated vs unvaccinated cruising. That way people can pick what they want. It seems like some cruise lines will have the unvaccinated cruising. As long as Florida law doesn't impact anything which I don't think it will, I believe everyone will be happy picking what they want to do.
Spot on! Great post that makes sense.

Thanks for the tip. I had placed our names in the hat yesterday and would like to be picked. But I know it is a long shot.
Hey good luck, you never know you might just be one of the lucky ones to get picked.

I’m currently booked on The Encore for Jan 16th 2022 but want to change it to Nov 14 2021. This will be the first cruise The Encore takes after Covid. Nov works better for us,plus we get to cruise sooner. Should I chance it? My concern isn’t so much having that cruise get cancelled like some of the others and having to re schedule,my concern is being the first Caribbean cruise for The Encore after Covid. I’m not sure I’m too keen being the guinea pig. Assuming of course,we still get to go on our own excursions. What say you?
That is a tough one, November is a great time to cruise. I would choose November but I do get what you are saying about being the guinea pig. I would chance it you will probably have a great time.

What is going to be the first two venues you plan to visit (not counting your stateroom)?
For DW and I, it will probably be the Windjammer followed by the Diamond Lounge (if it is open).
Now that is what I'm talking about.

Right? Apparently the prices for the Sky sailing I booked just a couple of hours ago have already gone up $200pp. It costs me nothing to book, other than a call to my PCC. The trick is not to get *emotionally* invested.
Good choice JamieLogical, CaptainWoody has a good point.

So please explain to me how this cruise ship is sailing if he didn't back down please?? It is going fully vaccinated, from Florida, in June. Sounds to me like he either backed down or the RCCL lawyers realize there is no way he can block them in court.
Look I tried to explain it to you the best I could and I explained it clearly, but you do not want to here it and you just want to be right. It is good to have a Governor that looks out for the people and gives them choices. If you see something wrong with that then hey that is on you. So go ahead and feel that you are right, enjoy. I refuse to argue with you about this. It is just not worth my time. I'm going on vacation either way, by land or by sea or both, so no skin off my back.

It is a beautiful photo and a great part of American history! The woman in that photo was very proud of it and talked about in a few interviews. The two even met up in their elderly years and talked about how proud of the photo they were. Relax and enjoy life.
