On a previous Celebrity cruise, I noticed a $99 pending charge and went to guest relations to clarify and was told they post that to make sure your credit card on file is still valid and it is never actually charged which is what happened. We are boarding the Ascent next week for 12 nights in Europe and will definitely monitor our charges daily.

are gratuity and tax added for the add on items - for example if we order the filet mignon for 19.99 what is the total charge?

You have to call Celebrity and can't do it online. The phone number I called was 800-556-8209. (I have already paid in full as our cruise is January 2023) so unsure if you can do this now but worth a try. For 7 nights including gratuity it was $98.98 and I used shipboard credit to pay for. I have Elite status and get a small discount

We are booked on the 12 night 8/1 cruise from Amsterdam to Iceland/Ireland. For any of you who were on same itinerary recently - which night(s) were Evening Chic? We normally eat in the Main Dining Room those nights instead of specialty restaurants.

Very disappointed to see salmon instead of halibut on our upcoming Apex cruise (Iceland/Ireland) in Normandie's nightly dinner menu. When I booked reservations for our party of 6 - purposely chose Normandie several evenings. When we were on Apex in Caribbean earlier this year - had halibut several times... in Normandie.. maybe because of location and not readily available??? or more likely to cut costs??
