Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Yes you can. Also if you go back with it on the last day of the cruise, they may also give you a box to put it in.
  2. I know they also track if you bring chips from one table to another or if you buy-in with cash. I have watched them input that into the keypad at the table when they swipe your card.
  3. I know when playing tables, time playing is also taken into account. I would assume it would also be tracked at a slot machine as well. I may play a couple hours a day in the casino while on a cruise but only lose a few hundred bucks. I set a limit to how much I will lose in the casino for a given cruise. I get casino offers all the time. I dont get the best ones, free balconys and drinks everywhere. But i will get free interior with free drinks in the casino while playing.
  4. We were on the Vista last year around this time and the Skybox Sports Bar had ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, and the SEC Network. We wanted to watch playoff basketball on TNT and playoff hockey at the time on ABC. We were told that Carnival only paid for those 4 ESPN owned channels and that was all they could show. Now with saying that. I have seen Carnival do special broadcasts of NFL games. The ones I remember from last year where on a Thanksgiving cruise on the Breeze and they had two of the Thanksgiving games on the big screen on the LIDO deck. They had signs up letting people know the start times of the games. Cowboys game was shown. We were off the boat before the Sunday games, so I have no idea if those were shown. So Carnival could theoretically show games but if they choose to do so on a certain cruise is up to them.
  5. Monday Night Football on ESPN should be on in the casino and in the Red Frog Pub. Sunday Night on NBC probably will not be shown. Unless one of the TVs in the casino bar can be switched. But not sure they can, most of the time is the ESPN channels that Carnival has paid for to be shown. Thursday Night on Amazon has no chance at all of being on the ship.
  6. Been on 4 since the restart out of Galveston. Have a 5th next week. The first couple were really different with half full ships and covid rules. But the last two have felt more like they were before the pandemic. Staff Shortage is still an issue and probably will be for awhile. I see people complain about the food quality and it has gone down a little bit. But I still find food options I really like on the ships. The muster drills are now a lot easier and a very nice change. In Galveston, getting onboard is easy with no issues. Getting off at the end of the cruise is a nightmare. I am platinum and can technically get off the boat early, has not happened on any of the 4 cruises. Always a cluster. I dont remember it being that bad before the pandemic. Overall cruising is about what the same as it has been. It is fun and I will continue to cruise Carnival. Pretty much you make the vacation what it is. You can harp on the little things and let it bother you. Or just forget it and go get a margarita.
