  1. Yep I think the text is correct but they do need to make it a lot clearer by placing it further up the page and in an email!
  2. If you click into the details of the booking it does show this
  3. We stayed at Yotel in downtown Miami, it’s a reasonable price for a basic but brand new hotel, walking distance from Bayside marketplace for dinner or entertainment and there are other places nearby for breakfast. Only a few minutes by Uber/Lyft to the port.
  4. As far as I know if you have Sea Rover status then if you buy the bar tab online then you get the applicable bonus. I have Sea Blazer and that’s the way it’s always worked for me.
  5. Richard’s Rooftop is a sunbathing and socialising space with a bar, sushi is available and the Sun Club Cafe doing Poke is just outside. That is the only space exclusive to suite guests, there is no suite only restaurant. Mega rockstar all drinks under $25 are included in your fare and two bottles a day under $95 a bottle. Plus the in room minibar will be restocked. daytime there is fitness classes, board games, trivia/gameshows, boyband style dance class, dodgeball, colouring in, pool DJ, summer camp crafts. Plus sometimes bingo (or that can be evening) and other shows in the late afternoon.
  6. There are only two full service places open for brunch, as others have said they do tend to be okay for walk ups for brunch depending on the time. I wouldn’t worry about “freedom” we did a transatlantic cruise and still had breakfast/lunch in the Galley food court most of the time, I didn’t feel the need to have the waiter service brunch much.
  7. what do you mean by well cocktails? I was drinking Absolut Vodka and Sprite/Coke for $7. That seems a good price to me. Also still managed to fill all my time without paying for any activity except bingo, although I think they have added a few more paid for events more recently, they all include drinks in that price. I thought it was quite clear that it was drip coffee included before boarding and that is what I would expect anyway. Personally I found the flavour of the drip coffee better than an Americano, but everyone’s taste is different.
  8. Lunch is walk in only in the Galley(12-3.30), pizza place, sun club cafe and dock. Razzle Dazzle and The Wake do brunch through to 1pm and you can reserve them, particularly if you want a popular time.
  9. Try to book on the app before boarding. Then once you get onboard you can do it yourself on the app, or go to the “chart room” (red desk by the doors on deck 7) and ask for help. You can also go to host stands at each restaurant, but of course trying to book for future nights while everyone else waits to check in for tonight holds up the line. Also once onboard open the app and book fitness classes, activities and shows (in that order) then check if you need to move meals around show times. Then after a late lunch watch the safety video before going to your muster point.
  10. The main change I’ve read with the food is the steak tartare appetiser has been switched out for tomato, burrata and pesto salad. Just sorting that one course probably makes a big improvement.
  11. No clothes irons for guests, but you can ask your cabin attendant for a steamer. Or send items to laundry services for them to press it.
  12. Test Kitchen isn’t communal. There is some high top diner/bar style seating but it’s not intended to encourage discussion like Gunbae is. They usually leave empty seats between parties.
  13. Very interesting, nice that it confirms what is continuing, bit of a shame that Scarlet Lady isn’t getting a major new show, but exciting that Resilient is almost all new entertainment. Heartbeat was one of my favourite club nights ever, so I do wonder if We Fancy will be as good as it seems to have replaced Heartbeat on Valiant Lady.
  14. I’ve seen way more reports of the opposite, that getting newer versions of android onto older devices is hard. For iOS the Virgin Voyages app needs iOS 15, which is supported on the iPhone 6S from 2015, released seven and a half years ago.
  15. Can take up to 12 cans on, no single use plastic. Although the diabetic need’s might mean you can bring more. https://help.virginvoyages.com/helpportal/s/searchresult?userInput=Can I bring water or soft drinks on board#reload
  16. The iPhone analogy doesn’t really work as the deep blue extras don’t reduce the price. It’s closer to getting a free pair of earphones or something for being loyal. But also at the moment there is a discount and up to $600 bar tab free, so I’d rather have that guaranteed offer and then if I get a loyalty freebie that’s a bonus. also the extras for me don’t add that much, I prefer the drip coffee so the coffee credit is nice as a freebie but isn’t saving me money. The laundry was useful on the transatlantic trip but on a shorter cruise I don’t need it. So really the only major benefit is the $100 bar tab and the separate boarding line. So right now I’d rather have a guaranteed $600 bonus instead of potentially a smaller value of extras.
  17. Does that $200-250 of value really make that much of a difference to your plans?
  18. Earliest boarding is about 1pm-1.30 for suites, but you could arrive anytime from 12.30 really. For non-suites boarding starts about 1.45pm.
  19. Sorry not a tonic drinker so can’t help on that one but I only recall seeing Diet Coke and Coke Zero as sugar free drinks. Sprite and Fanta were full sugar in cans and draft. To add on the tonic question I don’t recall seeing slimline/diet on any menu, just different flavours from London Essence Co. But they of course do have a full bar offering that isn’t shown on menus so they may only list the premium option and “house” tonic like Seagrams is likely available as well as the premium London Essence Co one. https://profcruise.com/virgin-voyages-bar-menus-and-drink-prices/
  20. Last August we got Lyft from Terminal V to Miami Airport for $22 plus tip. Miami Airport to downtown Miami (the night before the cruise) was under $17 plus tip. Didn’t have any long waits really.
  21. They will status match but only if you are going on a cruise before the 31st March. see https://www.virginvoyages.com/sites/sailing-club What is happening after 1st April no one knows yet.
  22. Maybe I’m spoilt by having a GHD hairdryer at home it I thought the ones on VV were weak and I’m a guy with fairly short hair. Also being British I don’t expect there to be a standard socket in the bathroom.
  23. To my knowledge they don’t hold spots for walk ups, but as you say they are often available. I think people have only had issues once occupancy gets to around 2000+
  24. There is US outlets and USB-A both sides of the bed and at the desk. Plus one EU socket at the desk too. Hairdryer should work as well as normal. There is one in the room but it isn’t good.
  25. And yet thousands of people a week are sailing with Virgin and not requiring those single use plastics. The other cruise lines could do away with it too, but choose not to as they’d rather make the money on bottles.
