  1. Not to go off my original topic ... but, I will ... he he he. I don't think I would know if I got a HAL Casino Offer, to be honest. I have paper-mailings that say "Private Sale" on the envelope. And, the periodic email. Have any of you gotten a HAL Casino Offer --- and knew it was offered because of your casino play aboard a ship? I'm wondering now. My casino play has been quite minimal on my two HAL sailings. Like in the realm of two buy-ins of $100 each. ----Matthew
  2. Sea42 Thank you. Just making sure. ----Matthew
  3. Okay. Hold on. I did not read your reply fully (my error). When I log in, I use my EMAIL address, and not my mariner number. That makes a difference? -----Matthew
  4. Understood. And, thank you for the feedback. I have never gotten a HAL casino discount. Then again, I have never paid for my two HAL cruises. They were given to be my "local" casino corporation where I live. Maybe that sounds conveluded. Sorry. I ask the question, because, I am sure one day I will have to actually pay full price for a cruise. -----Matthew
  5. I am curious.. When i am on the official HAL website and i browse sailings, prices seem to (almost always) be the same ---- VS ---- NOT logging in. Is this something that is normal? ---MisterMatthew
  6. "twice as high as expected" ? Oh boy! ---MisterMatthew
  7. Tupper.. You are quite the trooper. I am glad the Lido Chef took care of you! ----MisterMatthew
  8. Dave... This is an interesting situation. I would, also, be in a bit of a quandary. So, your angst is 100% understandable. Dave, it is possible that you have already been upgraded to a suite. And, it will be revealed to you as a surprise. You are a good fella in my book. ----Matthew
  9. You're off to a nice start. Sleep well. Are you mid-ship? I havent really had any majorly rough waters in my cruise history. But booked mid ship just in case. ---Matthew
  10. Tupper10.. Enjoy your cruise. I will do my best to follow along. The Noordam is a ship i have not yet been on. So, i am eager to hear your thoughts. Enjoy!
  11. Today is Sunday, here in Las Vegas. And, that means ONE THING: Tomorrow is Monday. 😀 Enjoy your afternoon, everyone. I am going to Costco. --MisterMatthew
  12. Good morning from Las Vegas. Smooth sailing to those aboard a ship! ----MisterMatthew
  13. CruiserBruce.. I am enjoying your report very much. I have not been on the Zandam (yet). It sounds like she is holding her own! I have had the chile relleno on a different ship. Not too bad in my opinion -- as i have had a few thousand on land. Bruce, may i ask a question. In the gym.. is the equiptment "TRUE" brand? I only ask because i was recently on the Eurodam, and they had machines with that brand. Smooth as silk when i used them. So much better than my local Planet Fitness! Lol. I am glad you enjoyed the Lido Bar b Que. Oh, wait, that was a fire, he he he. I enjoy your insights, Bruce. ----Matthew
  14. SilverToGold.. My good friend, thank you for the encouragement. To answer you, i have not yet chose something. But, i have been eyeing DENMARK (to see that famous garden, among other things). Also, a transatlantic. Maybe, Italy. Oh, and Australia. ----Matthew
  15. sandiego.. Hi there, i have heard more and more about getting add'l pages. Or the BOOK as you say. Sounds like the way to go. Thanks! ---MisterMatthew
  16. BlackDuck Thank you, mate. Appreciate it! --Matthew
  17. Hmm, ok. Well i have been on 2 cruises. Both on HAL.. Both were closed loop. Both left a U.S. city. Both returned to the SAME U.S. city. Both visited a foreign country. (one was to Mex) (one was to AK, and included British Columbia) And, so, i was informed by my HAL CC, and the good people of this board informed me that an id.d. and a certified Birth Certificate WILL BE accepted to board. No other item needed. So, turned out to be 100 percent true. So, forgive me--not sure what youre trying to say, friend. ----MisterMatthew
  18. I appreciate all of your responses. Thank you so much. A woman i spoke with at the post ofc said there is an expedited something. Lol. Now i cannot recall if it was shipping or processing. ---Matthew
  19. Hello kind board-members! I am, finally, going to get the ball rolling on a U.S. passport. I have two cruises completed thus far. So, I think it is time to jump in all the way. I have never had a visa. I have never had a passport. Q1 .. Does a passport "trump" a visa? Meaning, is there NOT A NEED for a visa, if you posess a passport? I see on some ports of call (on the HAL website) say "Visa reqd for some nationalities". Q2 .. Once i get my passport, is it then NO LONGER important to bring my birth certificate to the check in counter at Embarkation? Q3 .. When i book a cruise, am i reqd to have proof of a passport? Or, do i just need it when i sail? I ask this, because i am starting the process (this week) at my local post office. Thank you for weighing in. And, i hope everyone is havind a safe Monday. -----Matthew
  20. S L C Hi there ma'am (or sir, or both) .. It sounds like you have a productive day ahead of you! I am a Uber driver. So, i have no schedule. I am almost overdue for laundry. Oh, and groceries as well! ---Matthew
  21. Thank you for the report. It is 431 AM, here in Las Vegas. Shortly, i will go to work. Is everyone going to have a relaxing Sunday? ---Matthew
