  1. Hmm. I have more to think about. ----MisterMatthew
  2. Yowza. Love the info. And, your quick response! -----MisterMatthew
  3. Can i pay how i want to pay? Let me elaborate.. Okay, let's say there is a cruise that is 22 months away. And, my total cost is $3000.00. Am i allowed to make small installments. How strict are things? I ask because the idea of having a $724 payment is more daunting to me. Not being a wealthy person---i would like to know my options. CAN I do payments at random times? Some payments larger than others and such. I am hopeful that i can do something that is "less" structured. Do you follow me? Life's expenses can certainly be random. I hope someone can relate! HAPPY 4TH -----MisterMatthew
  4. Charlene, that does make sense. Thank you. I like the way you think. ----MisterMatthew
  5. Interesting stuff. Btw, awfully nice of her to watch your pet! Okay. Okay. Pause! I have to ask, when people say CASINO OFFER, this relates to playing in the ships casino? Yes? I ask beause my last 2 sailings were complimentary---given to me (locally) by "BOYD GAMING" where i live. Can you please give me the skinny on this. Thank you! ---MisterMatthew
  6. Buddy, i follow you. The word "private" in a SALE may be the key. ----MisterMatthew
  7. Mary, that is something i have overlooked. Good idea!
  8. Very interesting, CruiserBruce. Thank you good sir.
  9. Hello good people! My question is this -- let's suppose there is a sailing to ABC LAND (hypothetical). And, the sailing is June 20th, 2025. Would this sailing be revealed to certain person (s) before others? And, when i say "be revealed" .. i am also asking can ea and every person BOOK IT? I hope my question makes sense. I am a 1-star mariner (hopefully reach 2 by end of the year). Does that have any SAY in someone wanting to book? Lastly, are there ever situations in which a Travel Agent would be aware of a sailing before, let's say, someone just logging onto the HAL website? I certainly thank you in advance. ---MisterMatthew
  10. It is a good question. What i do, as i arrive for a passenger pick-up, is keep the doors locked until i can physically SEE THEM. And, confirm who they are. Once in a while you get a joker that tries to "take" a ride that is not theirs. You have the basics. Such as JDLR. If something just doesnt look right, then move on. Sorry to be wordy, lol. Lastly, i drive mostly during the DAY. Just doing that is a good thing. Do you follow me CatShepard? ----matthew
  11. It sounds like you are a heck of a trooper. I am glad you managed to salvage the day! By the way, that historic ship sounds amazing. ----matthew
  12. Thank you for the fleet report. It is almost 5am here in Las Vegas. Shortly, i will go to work. (UBER and LYFT). Today, will be mid 90s. -----MisterMatthew
  13. I had my photo taken at the Cruise Terminal, just before embarkation. This was 3 weeks ago. Simple. Easy. Nothing to worry about. On another note.. the following day, NIKON stock lost 73% of it's value! ---MisterMatthew
  14. Please correct me if i am wrong. I see the lamb entree. The lower photo, hmm. Is that proscuitto ? --Matthew
  15. Very enjoyable to read of your adventure... it sounds like things are going especially well. I think when teens (and, young adults) are in a more formal dining venue... they tend to gain an appreciation for great food, great service, and the ambiance. Lovely to hear of their enjoyment of the MDR!! ---- MisterMatthew
  16. Interesting topic. And, fascinated by all of it to be honest. My phone (although not LG) is an android smartphone. And, made by Samsung. My phone is about 5.5 years old. I removed the NavApp last year after I took my cruise. THEN, 4 weeks ago I attempted to install the NavApp again as I was going to sail on Eurodam on May 20. Google Play Store did not allow me to do so. Saying it was not "supported", etc, etc. Friend of mine suggested "download an OLDER version of the app". I did so, and worked Juuuuust fine. I was kind of in the same boat (no pun intended), and considering upgrading my phone. Did not have to. Whew::::::::: So, that was that. ----MisterMatthew
  17. My first HAL cruise, I brought on board a pouch of beef jerky. Turned out, never opened it. Most folks will learn that they eat in a "robust" manner --- that the gap between breakfast & lunch (and the one, lunch & dinner) won't require any snack items. But, that is just my opinion. Like others have said, there is always room service. ---MisterMatthew
  18. Tigerlilly75... I hope your arvo is going splendid! Thank you very much. I enjoyed writing it. ---Matthew
  19. BetsyS ... Well, a few things. I try to write in a way that helps a reader "feel" they are there with me. If that makes any sense at all? Yes, the safe. Oh my gosh, the safe. Honestly, it was not a major "importance" to me. But, I wanted to follow through, and have them get my stateroom UP TO PAR. There is no doubt my room steward was Johnny-On-The-Spot with things. Good guy. The odor thing. I'll be candid, I did not really notice it too much. Maybe once or twice. The passengers that queried me about it, well, I suppose they had the WORSE of it. Perhaps, as others have said, that is why "that" certain elevator was not in operation for the duration of my sailing. Now, the duffel bag. How I packed, is like this. One suitcase. One carry-on bag (small). One duffel bag. So, I hung the duffel on the hook. It has a long zipper. So, after a day is "done" I put my dirty clothes in it & zipped it up! Repeat, repeat. Very sturdy bag (nylon type). Got it from Bass Pro Shops. They have many sizes. And, this is made so well -- should last for 200 years. ----Matthew
  20. LabMom... Wow, that is the way to "start" retirement. Tons of cruising. Way to go! I certainly hope you enjoy every one of them. :) ----Matthew
  21. MaryBethV ... Well, thank you so much. That means a lot to me. I hope your cruise is amazing! Being organized and sorted is righteous! Although, I'm not always organized, he he. ----MisterMatthew
