It is very interesting to note you were able to make changes yourself after the 60 day mark. That is a fantastic pro-tip, PapaFlamingo. That said, I can honestly say without hesitation I will never let Regent arrange my air again. I’d rather have full control over my flights myself. Knowing I paid in full plus a hefty deviation fee prior to the 60 day cutoff and that they hadn’t bothered paying the airline at day 45 is crazy. Meh, live and learn! ✈️

Our travel agent contacted Regent and was informed the flights were still being held but at 40+ days they had not yet been paid for. We paid the deviation fee and even selected our seats. I would have thought our flights should have been paid and signed off on well before the 60 day limit. Our flights are now paid for and back on our itineraries and airline apps thank goodness. Thank you to everyone for your very helpful suggestions. It was a somewhat stressful day yesterday and your assistance and kind words help us through. 💚

I am the sort of person who regularly checks their reservations online for no good reason. Oh look, my cruise is still there! Oh look my excursions are still there! This morning I logged into the airline site followed by the Regent site and my confirmed departure flights gone. We are not only paid in full we also paid a not insignificant deviation fee. Is this normal with Regent?? Today being Sunday I can contact neither my Travel Agent nor Regent for assurances or explanations. What on earth could be happening?! (I checked the airline site and the flight itself still exists so that was not the explanation.)

I have looked for photos but thus far have come up empty on my quest to see a twin bed configuration in a Concierge Suite on the Grandeur. I am mostly looking to see if there are plugs available on either side of both beds. Any one who can advise and/or provide photos will earn hero status for the day. Thank you!

We were told by our TA it would be the Westin Excelsior, Rome. I’m assuming he knows what he’s talking about but it hasn’t been confirmed by Regent yet.

I tried this yesterday and the CS was very, very unhelpful stating there was nothing they could do to have it assigned to a PvP. When I asked for a manager she hung up on me. 😤 I did not have a great Princess experience yesterday trying to book a cruise and give them money.

Hi have a PVP who is very aggressive about doing bookings himself for the credits he earns. I have found a cruise i want and am worried my cabin of choice will disappear by Monday. How do other people with PvPs deal with this issue? Do i book it myself? Or risk the very likely event of the cabin disappearing?

I wonder how it works on the World cruise. The WC has 5-6 segments. Do people doing the full ringer get to book days for the third segment or do they have to wait for each segment? (I’m hoping that made sense…)

I have travelled solo for several years and deeply resent what I dubbed the “Loser Tax.” Why am i paying for twice the food and amenities for my single (yet awesome) self? It’s pure profit for the cruise line for no good reason, IMO. I understand the economics of it - they could sell my cabin to two people and make double the money. But by the same logic they could sell that double occupancy to THREE people and make more money again - so why not charge the couple more money to pay for that unused pull-out couch. I get it - it’s all about corporate greed at the end of the day. But as someone who has paid the loser tax more than once I’d love the opportunity for a tax refund at some point.

I had one CVP who was dreadful and we had to drag even the slightest bit of help out of him like we were asking for a Kidney instead of a refaring. The l next one I had told me multiple times how amazing he was and then pressured us into a decision with the sort of tactics even slimy used car salesmen would find questionable. I’m done with CVPs after my experience with the last guy.

I’m really hoping they roll this out to more ships soon.

Is the cabana worth it? I’m hoping to try it out during a port day but I’m not sure the upcharge will be worth it? Are the regular loungers shaded? ⛱️

Important note: I am aware that specific CVPs cannot be recommended on this board. My CVP is beyond useless. How do I go about getting a new one or having someone assigned to me that actually returns calls/emails? (Sorry, if I sound itchy but this guy drives me nuts and we are about to lose the cabin we wanted due to his lack of follow-up and general frustration with the core CSRs.)

On my last cruise the gentleman who delivered my breakfast figured out pretty early on that he was my alarm clock and was always patient in knocking and coming early on port days. Needless to say, prior to disembarkation he received a generous tip for his awesomeness.

Great question! I know people complain about the price and the upselling. I am keen to ready the answers here as I too am looking to book some spa time during my upcoming cruise.

I’m sure this has been asked and answered but I couldn’t find it. In a full suite what shower amenities are provided? I will be sailing on the Island and was wondering if there was body wash, shampoo, and a separate conditioner. Especially the latter. 💇‍♀️

Were you given this by the Princess person at the airport or did they send the information ahead of time? Oh second question you may not able to answer: Does the hotel have the reservation under Princess or the guest name? I would like to make a request on my reservation (two beds vs one) and am not sure if there is any point in trying ahead of time or simply hoping for the best upon arrival. We’re about a month out and getting a little over zealous and excited. LOL
