Absolutely deceptive to market a downgrade as an “enhancement”. Despite the amount being nominal, they shouldn’t be allowed to add new fees retroactively on already booked and (fully) paid for cruises. $15 per OceanNow activation adds up when there’re thousands of passengers per cruise. I can’t see anywhere in terms and conditions, passenger contract that permits them to do that either.

I'm a Canadian, and will be going on an Alaskan cruise. I want to have my own secured wifi while at the ports for wifi calling, texting, perhaps a bit of streaming. Wondering what's your experience with using Solis in general, e.g., quick and easy to connect, lag, etc. Thank you.

I never had issues flying into YVR, the current long waits are mainly related to flying out of the airport due to staffing shortages. Besides, you're talking about August of next year, it's anybody's guess. Have you consider flying back with Alaska airline in Whittier, so you can stopover in Seattle on your way back?
