Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Hi, I've encountered a problem to do with my booking within the Celebrity app. I've made a multiple stateroom booking for several guests which appears to be all linked up. However, I'm not sure exactly what has happened, but the app seems to "recognise" me as one of the other guests in one of the other booked staterooms. I've tried to fiddle around within the app but essentially under "My cruise" it has the booking for two of the other guests in an different stateroom, and my stateroom is classed as a "linked" stateroom. Who would be able to sort this out?
  2. I noticed a gap between some of the rooms on the deck plan. Anyone who's stayed on these ships know what this is? Firewall? Something to avoid?
  3. Hi everyone, just looking for some clarification on this one. We've previously stayed in an Aqua Class stateroom (not suite) and loved dining in Blu, in fact it was one of our favourite parts of the cruise. We plan on staying in a suite for our next cruise, however it would just be a normal sky suite as the price for the Aqua Class Sky Suite was considerably more and above our budget. Is it still possible to dine daily in Blu for breakfast and dinner as Sky Suite (not Aqua Class) guests? If so, how would we go about doing this and is there a cover charge? Interested to hear people's experiences as we couldn't find anything up-to-date regarding this. Thanks in advance!
  4. We are working out whether the upgrade from the classic to premium drinks would be worth it. We are booked in with “All Included” with Aqua Class, which includes the classic drinks package, wi-fi and tips. If we pay to upgrade from the classic to premium drinks package, would we have to pay the 20% extra gratuities with the upgrade or would these be included still? Thanks
  5. I have tried to make a reservation at the various MDR’s via the app, and only available times are 9pm and 9.30pm mostly? Does this mean we have left it too late or should we still be able to eat dinner at our preferred time (around 7.30) in the MDR’s, as Aqua Class guests?
  6. Thanks both of you for your responses. We are “Select Dining Anytime” as staying in Aqua Class stateroom. Presumably this is in reference to the Blu restaurant. How does it work for us as Aqua Class guests if we wish to dine in each of the MDR’s for a change of scene and experience more of the ship, etc?
  7. We are excited for our first ever cruise next month on Celebrity Beyond. We are booked in a Aqua Class stateroom which we are aware includes dining in the Blu restaurant. My partner and I are really keen to try each of the Main Dining Room restaurants (Cosmopolitan, Tuscan, Normandy, Cyprus) which are included, in addition to dining in Blu. How do we go about booking tables for each night, as we prefer to plan and book ahead? Is it straightforward for us to do this even though we have been assigned to the Blu restaurant as part of Aqua Class? Which dining times are typically most popular?
  8. First time time cruisers here. Just wondered if worth booking directly with Celebrity for on-shore excursions or go direct with local vendors. Is there anywhere reputable which could be used to look at reviews of particular tours for our upcoming Mediterranean cruise? Where is best place to find reputable local vendors which pick up and drop off at same locations as the ones organised by Celebrity, as presumably could save quite a lot of money this way? Is it worth arranging ourselves? We have $450 OBC for this particular cruise. Is it a good use of the OBC to spend this on some excursions booked directly through Celebrity?
  9. Hi all, I’m from the United Kingdom and new to Celebrity Cruises and Captain’s Club. I’ve joined the Captain’s Club which my upcoming booking is now linked to. How do I go about getting the Power Up points in the UK? Thank you!
  10. Quick question. First ever Celebrity cruise booked for me and my partner. Actually first ever cruise. Can’t wait. I created a Captain’s club account beforehand for myself pre-emoting the fact that I could earn some points with this booking. The agent has linked my booking to my Captain’s Club and the booking states I will get 50 points, is this usually after the cruise has taken place? She also asked if my partner had one and I said no. Presumably she would also earn points. Is it too late for my partner to create a Captain’s Club account and link it to the booking so she can also earn the 50 points? Thanks!
  11. Thank you. Are there any pro’s or con’s with this asides from the obvious of potentially more protected from a fire that occurs in the adjacent stateroom, eg more or less sound to be expected?
  12. First time (soon to be) cruiser. Just wondering what the narrow gap is on the deck plan when looking at Aqua Class staterooms for Edge Class series of ships? Located between rooms 9305 and 9307, and also between 9302 and 9304. See photo. Also noticed a narrower one between 9317 and 9319, and 9314 and 9316. Does anyone know what this is exactly? I’m wondering if need to avoid it or whatever. Thanks!
  13. We are 2 adults and will be first time cruisers. We are looking at a 10 night Mediterranean cruise in the summer of this year on Celebrity Beyond. We’re from the UK. Interested to hear whether the prices we are looking at are fair as not really looked at cruises in the past, so don’t have much to compare with. Happy to hear from anyone including North American customers to get a general gauge of things. Essentially the Aqua Class staterooms with the “All Included” drinks/wifi/tips package are coming in currently at the equivalent of £3199 per person. Around $400 on board credit also included with this one. Similar Concierge Class staterooms are starting at £2737 per person (without “All included”). Again with the $400 on board credit included. Edge staterooms with Infinite Veranda with similar starting at £2514 per person (without “All included”). Again with the $400 on board credit included. All are in the “sale” which I understand doesn’t really make that much difference based on things I’ve read. Does this sound about right for a 10 night cruise on Celebrity Beyond? Thank you!
  14. No longer appears on Blue Light app. I heard there was a Blue Light card discount for Celebrity Cruise. Can any U.K. based customer who has booked fairly recently confirm whether or not they managed to get the Blue Light card discount? Thanks!
  15. First timers. Planning a cruise and looking at possibly the Aqua Class staterooms of the new Celebrity Edge class series of cruise liners. The Aqua Class rooms all seem to be located from just rear of the middle of the ship all the way back to the rear most part of the ship. The cruise we are looking at is 16 floors and these staterooms are specifically more towards the rear of floors 9 and 10. We’d probably want to go for floor 10 to be a bit higher up which presumably might be better for views. Is there anything we need to be aware of when booking this stateroom, ie is there such a thing as “being too far back”? Is it preferable to be situated further forward asides from the obvious reason of closeness to lifts and stairs? Any noticeable impact on the comfort of the journey, eg noise or motion sickness, etc? Clearly we don’t have a clue! Thanks for your patience!
