What's this on the deck plan of Edge class ships?

I noticed a gap between some of the rooms on the deck plan. Anyone who's stayed on these ships know what this is? Firewall? Something to avoid?

There are similar gaps at several places on that and other decks.  9317 and 9319 for example.

Guessing utilities,  fire doors, ???

Avoiding?  Why?  A dead space would likely mean no noise.

Firewall...makes it quieter on that side.  I have stayed in an SV wnext to one of those.

 @Lastdance is coarct.  That is how the firewalls dividing off sections of the ship for fire control as depicted on the deck plans.
