  1. Here reporting from the tribe!!! Looking forward to this!
  2. We went ahead and got passports and are still waiting for them to arrive. We only stop in Prince Rupert on the 2024 Alaska cruise but we are planning a British Isles cruise for 2025 so we definitely will need them!
  3. What a totally awesome and beautiful trip! I never thought I would want to go to Italy but after seeing all your beautiful pics it's going on my bucket list! Thank you for documenting so well and I hope to see future reviews! 🤩
  4. I hear you! I was wanting to leave a bit of room for souvenirs, of course I will likely be wearing all my heavy stuff onto the plane lol! 104 temperatures and I'll be in a jacket and layers!
  5. In addition to the things listed above I plan to pack a small first aid kit in case of minor injuries. Got a luggage weight to check my bag weight. Small laundry detergents so I can do laundry and pack less clothes, definitly got some poo-purri too! Also, some wrinkle release spray and small can of insect repellant. We are trying for one checked larger bag, one carryon and two backpacks, hopefully we can make it work!
  6. OMG! Not again! Can you call from your room? Maybe get ahold of someone that way???
  7. LOL! I went to Lamar High School in Arlington before we moved. Graduated college at MSU in Wichita Falls.
  8. I absolutely love your reviews! From one North Texan to another! Salute!!
  9. Researching for a future cruise in 2025. Was wondering what the best transfer option is to this hotel from Heathrow airport please? I tried to look it up but couldn't figure out what city section it is in. Thank you!
  10. No, I planned to apply the cruise first when I initially book the cruise. The question was if I could apply a cruise next certificate later down the line before I actually pay the cruise off.
  11. I am considering booking a 11 day cruise in 2025. I've never cruised NCL before. I want to purchase a 250/500 Cruise First certificate prior to booking and apply it when I book the cruise. That part sounds pretty simple. Since I have never cruised NCL before I do not have any Cruise Next certificates, but I see I can buy one online that is worth 250. I plan to book an inside so would I be able to apply a single Cruise Next certificate before my sail date for this cruise? I apologize, I have read the comments and still am confused. Thank you!
  12. Just checking in...... Still in the "working" part of my plan. Saving as planned. Using the miles card for everything I can. It appears my miles card updates the miles after payments clear which makes sense. Making good progress there. I'm using it to pay for everything that it will let me (utilities included) and then paying the balance off every two weeks when I get paid. Except groceries, I'm better off with my Cap 1 Walmart card with it's 5% on my online pickup orders. Perfect for me bc I hate going to Walmart to shop. And still using my Amazon CC for amazon shopping with it's 5%. Ok so I fell out on the hotel quote through AARP. It is significantly higher than 165 for sure. When I originally looked it must have been a special where that 165 price came in. Through AARP travel and a 20% Memorial Day sale it was around 275 to book for September 2024. The RUI website lists at 305 a night. But that doesn't include their taxes and "resort fees". Ugggh! But I went ahead and reserved bc the location is what I wanted. It's right next to Pier 39 and within walking distance to the cruise terminal. And I wanted to be certain I would have a reservation secured. I'll keep a look out for cheaper prices between now and then if I find a price drop between then and the check-in date I'll grab it. Flights I still can't schedule yet because September 2024 dates aren't out yet. I'll look again around September or so. Some generic excursions are showing up for my cruise but only one of the ones I wanted so I'll keep waiting for that. Carnival E cards I will get later after the important stuff is done. My Amazon wish list is long lol. I've already gotten some stuff I wanted and the rest I'll purchase here and there before the trip. My budget won't take a huge hit doing it that way. I've learned something in this process, I used to think I'd never be able to take big trips like this. But I've learned that if you plan things out way ahead of time you can accomplish alot! I already have a future goal to plan after I complete savings for this trip. I've got my eye on a British Isles cruise for 2025 or 2026 ! Goals!
  13. BTW, if you sign up for AARP ask about the free multi charger. I asked and got mine. It has like 5 USB ports in it.
  14. I was logged in to AARP and searched through the travel link. The AARP prices were much better than the Southwest prices I usually used. As were the hotel prices. Also you have to be a member to get to those discounted Carnival e cards. If your traveling Carnival that is. They have other ecards there too. Hope this helps!
