  1. A Cuban sandwich is delicious and comparing the original post to post 6 I would take the post 6 sandwich every day. They look like completely different sandwiches! IMO most of the IC offerings are lacking and I'm never tempted so I'm surprised by the number of people who love it. Yes, I've eaten a few things there, but they've just been meh.
  2. By the by...my cruise departs 11/4 so only a few weeks away for those wondering about the timeline.
  3. I am VERY happy with the upgrade process. I am a solo cruiser who reserved a guaranteed inside cabin for a 7-day CA coast cruise just to see where I was assigned. Within a few weeks my cabin was assigned and it was a deluxe obstructed balcony...great! Stoked about it so pushed my luck and submitted a minimum bid for a mini-suite...which was accepted. Granted, the location might put many others off, but I am super happy about it.
  4. Loved the entire experience. Would I do it again? No. It was a once in a lifetime evening and cannot imagine it ever being better. I concur with expanding to other regions. A rotating repertoire would be great.
  5. I wouldn't expect any decorations or activities between the holidays. IME those are saved for the actual cruise dates.

  7. Awesome and you're very welcome! Glad to hear it worked for you. I have only recently started buying the AARP gift cards so guess I had a head start on the "new procedures."
  8. No option even when you click on the available printers on your computer? What options do you see when you click on the Print Card button? For me, my choices start with Print, Destination... This is not a Princess issue at this point based on what I am hearing.
  9. Print to PDF. If you don't have that option on your computer you can download the free Adobe reader and then you can save as a PDF.
  10. Look at the bottom of the email for the box that says, "Get your reward." Once you click on that it opens up in the browser and the printing/save option box it at the top right. Hopefully, you'll get the same result as I did.
  11. That is odd. I bought some on 10/1 and still have the option to print/save as PDF.
  12. Re: the subject line, I actually tried to think what would be clear, alas what I chose not so much apparently. I wish the CVP I communicated with both via email and phone mentioned any of that. Thank you...all the information you provided helped me immensely!
  13. IMO they need to update their email verbiage so it's clearly articulated to contact them before paying a deposit. A 3-day complimentary hold and a reservation are completely different.

  15. I book direct with Princess as a solo traveler, inside cabin, and include Princess Plus. Each time I receive an email from the same Princess CVP that invites me to contact them for better rates, perks, etc. I never have until the last cruise I reserved. Leaving the unsatisfactory follow-up on their part aside, I was told was since I had paid the deposit, not final payment, they could do nothing for me. Is this for real? If so a complete waste of time IMO. From the emails: This is Xxxxxxx, your personal Cruise Vacation Planner with Princess Cruises and I am very excited to see you recently made a new reservation with us! I want to make sure that you found the cruise that best suits your needs – and with the best promotion! Please contact me to complete your reservation.

  17. Thinking that's because you booked through a TA? Ask them about it.
  18. Go to the payments sections of the specific cruise you want to apply the gift cards to and select the gift card option.
  19. I booked directly in the US so that’s my frame of reference. I would think you could still do the same in the UK, but not sure if your TA would have to do it for you. Yes , PIF is paid in full…sorry bout that. Try logging into your Princess account online, select the trip you want, manage this booking, scroll down to Princess upgrade. Not sure you’ll see that though since you didn’t book direct.
  20. If your cruise is PIF you can submit a bid when you log into your cruise personalizer online.
  21. $140 for the half day...at least it was in October 2022.
  22. No check in window times anymore. Just show up when you want as soon as embarkation is open.
