What website did you use to book your train tickets from London Waterloo to Southampton. I am trying to book on southwestern railway and it won't let me make an account because my address is not the UK.

We did 3 days in Bermuda last April while on the Pearl in early April. We left from Boston and the ship was rocking more than I've noticed on Mexico and Alaska cruises going both to and from Bermuda. (It was a smaller ship so maybe a larger ship you wouldn't feel it as much.) It was cooler on deck being it was early April so not your typical hangout by the pool cruise for the whole day. We did get some sun and pool time in wearing long sleeve sun shirts at the high temps of the day. We did have a day of full rain on the island. The other two days were low 70s and beautiful for getting out and exploring.

We did 3 days in Bermuda last April while on the Pearl. We got a pass to take Bermuda's Public Transportation (ferrys and busses) for about $20 a person one of the days. We explored much of the island this way. We also took the ferry to see Bermuda from the sea. The guy at the visitor infomation center that old us tickets also pulled up a map and helped us pick the most scenic routes. Our bus drivers were all very pleasant.

We will be docking in La Rochelle with Bordeaux listed as the port. Royal Caribbean has very few excursions here. What did you do and what do you recommend doing?

We went to Alaska on the Quantum of the seas. The ship had so many great indoor and warm areas to view things from. The solarium was great. There were 2 days we spotted whales while sitting in the hottub. We also enjoyed sitting on our balony with a blanket a couple of the afternoons.

We did this tour as well and loved it! We are avid hikers and did wish for a little bit of extra time at the glacier.

Thank you for this input. After much research and information found on this site we are planning to take the train. We have started looking at Hotels in the Waterloo area to hopefully eliminate having transfers or long walks with luggage.

Has anyone stayed at the Hampton by Hilton London Waterloo? We are thinking being close to Waterloo station would be good for taking the train to Southampton. Any thoughts on staying here or suggestions of other area hotels are welcome. 🙂

Has anyone used uber to get from London to the cruiseport in Southampton? Debating on using Uber vs. taking the train?
