Considering the NCL Joy sailing from NYC to Bermuda.

How is the weather typically this time of year? Are the seas rough this time of year? Are most of the sights, shops, etc open this time of year? Thanks!

It won't be beach weather. Figure on high temperatures around 70 or a touch above. It's not a particularly rainy month.

Your guess is as good as mine on sea conditions. It's before hurricane season so you shouldn't worry about severe storms, but weather in the North Atlantic is always unpredictable. The ride could be smooth as silk or somewhat rough.

Everything but beach and water related activities are generally open and operating all year.

We did 3 days in Bermuda last April while on the Pearl in early April. We left from Boston and the ship was rocking more than I've noticed on Mexico and Alaska cruises going both to and from Bermuda. (It was a smaller ship so maybe a larger ship you wouldn't feel it as much.) It was cooler on deck being it was early April so not your typical hangout by the pool cruise for the whole day. We did get some sun and pool time in wearing long sleeve sun shirts at the high temps of the day. We did have a day of full rain on the island. The other two days were low 70s and beautiful for getting out and exploring.

were in bermuda last week of april. was hot and humid walking around tom moores jungle and up and down the hills of st geo.  cant imagine being there in summer when it's more than 70 degrees. id say this was the best weather i ever had there. wouldnt mind a few degrees cooler.

everything we saw was open so id say april is a great time of year. id def be back. also our ship was just 85 percent full so that was nice.
