  1. We drink a lot of water and are eligible for 4 free containers of NCL water. We do not like it and try to give it away as we are more than happy to drink the free water that comes from every tap on the ship. It is just the same as the water they provide at every meal.
  2. @Doncarellash They don’t have a.m. or p.m. on their website so I don’t know what time any of these trains leave. If the time is before 12.00 then it is morning, 07.30 is 7.30am If the time is after 12,00 then it is afternoon. 15.30 is 3.30pm. For time after 12.00 just take off 12.00 to get the afternoon time.
  3. @dmwnc1959 I’m not sure I can wrap my head around the fact that NCL doesn’t or hasn’t taken a mandatory survey to determine which passengers are debarking in Seward and to ensure that every single one of them has a transfer option available. As they are still taking bookings and will do for another month + it would only be a rough guide. They would also have to do a 3 way question Staying in Seward Going to Anchorage City Going to Anchorage Airport And probably "still not decided"!!
  4. @dolls123 I suggest that you post this screen shot on your Roll Call just in case some people do not get it either from NCL or their TA.

  6. @dmwnc1959 There have been parallels drawn with Seward and the Jewel being there in April this year. One thing to remember is that the Jewel is going to Seward FROM Japan and so all the passengers will not be debarking; there will be lots B2B.to Vancouver This may be true (B2Bs) for your cruise too so you may not be looking at a 2000 turn round. However I feel certain that, as NCL has arranged transfers from Seward to Anchorage this year "before the season", they will do the same from Whittier in 2025. HOWEVER the Seward to Anchorage Airport transfer has ALREADY sold out; 58 days prior to arrival. I suggest you keep a weather eye on your cruise shore excursions and book as soon as the Whittier to Anchorage Airport transfer appears.
  7. @dlh015 On NCL there are two "ship tours". There is a free one for those who are at the Platinum level (or above) in the Latitudes system. It is a simpler tour and does fill up very quickly. It will take people away from the one you are interested in. That is the longer and more involved tour that you have to pay for as you visit other places, including the bridge. However if you are interested in it I would suggest that you book as soon as you have decided.
  8. Having been to Teppanyaki two or three times I wouldn't bother with it again; especially I wouldn't pay to go there.
  9. in good weather it is always crowded, especially at "meal times". However if the weather isn't good people tend to go inside.
  10. I only hope you don't have the trouble we had when we docked in Seattle. Somebody docked the ship a... about face. So the luggage for the first people due off was at the BACK of the unloading area. A shambles.
  11. @ts548 How does NCL handle tendering? If you are able to use the Concierge you will get taken to the front of the queue at any time. Otherwise it will depend on your Latitudes level. Gold and above; you get priority tender "tickets" (actually use your room card); turn up when you are ready and join the back of the queue. Below get a tender ticket; the time and place is in the Freestyle Daily; tickets are called by numbers..
  12. @mm3018 If you have never been to Bruges I would recommend there; main city centre, canal trip, chocolates, beer!!
  13. You cannot have a drink in a GLASS anywhere near the pools or near the so called "hot tubs". Most ships have a bar right next to the pool and "hot tubs".
  14. @smag873 It will depend on the cruise. On recent cruises between New Zealand and Australia there was, almost every day, a notice in the Freestyle Daily that NO FOOD of any kind could be taken off or brought on to the ship at any port.
  15. @daddyaddy I'm a seafood addict so I'm hoping to find something good. Look for a "langoustine tour" at either Eyrarbakki or Stokkseyri. We did one a few years ago and am not sure which village it was. But, as you know, Iceland is EXPENSIVE, and this would be.
  16. @orwell-g I have just read through your post on another CC Thread. We did Dubai to Cape Town 14 months ago on the first time that NCL had visited many of those ports. I said then that NCL had NOT done "due-diligence" for most of those ports. It sounds as if things are no better 14 months later. Still no "due-diligence" and it sounds like no follow up to all the complaints. I hope that no one on your ship was as adversely affected in Richard's Bay as people were on our cruise. We had a high wind all day and the air was thick with cold dust.
  17. @orwell-g If you have SKYPE you are able to call any NCL US Toll Free number there at NO cost. From anywhere in the world. Try it, it works; I always contact Reservations, Shore Excursions and the Ambassador Desk that way.
  18. I hope that Cookies don't go the way of. Hash Browns. What they are serving at breakfast instead of hash browns is terrible
  19. Interesting as one of the senior officers on the Spirit had his cycle with him and regularly used it. One rule for them, one for us!!
  20. Is it something like this If it is then it is just an advertising system to get you to book a specific cruise. It is only available to the specific cruise. If it isn't then it may be, as others suggest; that you got it for a cancelled cruise or a cruise with lots of port changes/misses.
  21. @GinaRz Does Norwegian allow you to pay the difference if you choose to upgrade to a top shelf liquor when you have the basic liquor package? My reading of this is that you are wondering about upgrading your "Free at Sea" Beverage package to the "Premium Plus" Beverage package. If so look at https://www.ncl.com/nz/en/shorex/225902259/51599484/details/up-sell/PPBU However I would imagine that everyone on your booking would have to pay for the upgrade not just one person. Check directly with NCL.
  22. I think that you are using a couple of different terms; "credit cards" and "gift cards". I am dubious that NCL will allow you to put more than one credit card on your "folio". I would check that you could use "gift cards" to pay off the debit you owe at the end of the cruise. Check with the Finance Desk as soon as you board. The other thing you could do is to see if you could deposit the "gift cards" onto your "folio" at the star of the cruise and then take any excess off in cash at the end of the cruise.
