Not hardly - a very hetro guy. Just kinda of fed up with the 6/8 Sun cruise where I can’t book dining, Santorini and Kotor have been replaced. care to step in my shoes?

Some of us don’t even have the option to try!

I was told that we can only book Sun dining 30 days out. I have paid in full for 8 months - absurd is an understatement and on top of that they have cancelled Santorini and Kotor. Not happy about any of this. I will never book a cruise that has less than a year of sailings. 😒

I will never sail a new ship within a one year period. Nothing but problems, broken promises and total disappointment. Too much money and so many other cruise ships and cruise lines. wow Princess has caused some major brand damage on this one.

So DISAPPOINTED IN PRINCESS.

Santorini was ship congestion and Kotor was “technical restrictions affecting our water shuttle operations”.

Kotor is now replaced with Bar. I was very disappointed with Santorini’s being cancelled and now Kotor. Frustrated again!

A couple of comments - you can book speciality dining regardless and if you have OBC then you can use it when getting on board.

The June 8th Sun Princess cruise cancelled Santorini and now headed to Chania. There is a beach excursion. Should we sign up, walk around town or something else?

I wouldn’t worry about a tux or coat and tie for that matter. Others may disagree with me but we normally travel on past our cruises and therefore don’t have room for really formal wear. I have never felt out of place. Many do dress up and they look great but the nature of our travel limits what we can pack.

I have been receiving an interior room and some free play since my 2023 TA last year. I received a balcony cabin offer and more free play from my 2024 TA this year. Will my offers forth coming be a balcony and more free play?

We just got off the Regal and there was some live entertainment including nightly in the piazza but there wasn’t a rousing piano bar environment on the ship. When we sailed the Enchanted in 2023, the piano bar was on fire - even the cruise director stopped by to sing Valerie by Amy Winehouse. Seems there is a major focus on the piazza which is fine but it still doesn’t have that piano bar vibe.

The interior was hot during the summer - it felt old.

Thinking of sailing the Emerald in October 2024. We loved the Enchanted, liked the Regal, prefer not to sail the Caribbean again, will let you know our thoughts on the Sun upcoming as we sail in June. What are your thoughts on the Emerald?

I have now consolidated all my gambling funds to cruising and away from land casinos. The offers have been better than what I was getting in Vegas. Will see how long that lasts but for now it’s great - booked through 2025.

There are a couple of odd things like how they calculate points on a back to back. If you do play as you say, you will most likely get a bounce back offer on the last night of your cruise. The formula is not transparent but “memoak” gave you a good proxy. For table games you can give your medallion to the dealer and they can get you money on your account. You should try a few - 3card poker is really easy. Standard play says unless you have a Q, 6, 4 or better in your hand you should fold.

Frustrating as we leave next Friday on a 16 day TA.🙁😒

Oh and I would go through a CVP and not do it on your own online.

Well even better. Keep what you got, have fun on your May cruise. If you get a good bounce back offer, the price is right and availability is there with a cabin you like then cancel and book.

Indeed - actually 400 if someone is going with you. For me, it was worth the 400 to get the cabin I wanted and the price. If I can do better later then I’d gladly forfeit the 400.

So that makes the decision tougher. I will say that my 2 bookings for next year using my current offer are higher - so even if you get an offer the cost to book later may be higher even with a better offer. Again, I booked because cabins were selling out. Cabins may open up later inside the 90 day timeframe but at what cost. If you have your heart set on the cruise you booked then I would keep it. If you are indifferent about whether you get to go and or don’t mind gambling and ending up paying more then wait.

Is the August cruise a casino offer? If not and assuming you cancel before the 90 days then you would get a refund and then could book a bounce back offer (from May sailing). However, prices are going up but if the August booking is not a casino offer then an offer from playing in May would most probably be a better offer - of course that is assuming you can get a cabin (or one that you want). I booked last week for July 2025 even though I am taking 2 cruises this year. I had a casino offer but was hoping to get a better one. However, the ship was selling out so I didn’t want to GAMBLE that a cabin would be available after my 2nd cruise in June. if I’m incorrect about anything I wrote someone please correct me - we are all just trying to cruise!

No one June and later has been able to book.
