What's the "word on the ship" for which specialty restaurant is the best one? I have a free voucher for 1 specialty restaurant and want to make it good!!

Has your wife's seasickness been better? I am very prone to motion sickness and was wondering how the rest of the time has been going for her (after the Horizons Dining Room experience). Also my cabin will be on Deck 5 towards the front left of the boat...is this a fairly "good" area to be in if I'm prone to motion sickness?

Is this free/included for all passengers or only for Reserve or Elite folks?

Yes thankfully it is not “gone” gone ha, but since it had been shut down I could not post there. Was having trouble finding where to ask akamai guy about the spreadsheet so that’s why I quoted a comment he had made here. The files were no longer working in that Sun Princess thread. Anyway, I’ve got what I need now! Carry on!

@akamaiguy I have been searching high and low for the spreadsheet you made to be printed out of all the decks on the Sun Princess (both sides of ship). I’m sorry to post here but I can’t figure out how to use Cruise Critic and contact you any other way 😂 you originally posted it on the Sun Princess thread that has now been closed down and the spreadsheet attachment is saying unavailable? Would you please post again?

***Subject change*** for those on board, how are the Princess excursions going? Are any of the organizational hiccups affecting those or have they been running smoothly?

I’m still trying to book dining. I’ve tried every few days for literally two months. I’ve booked them, they disappear, I rebook, half disappear, rebook, other random ones disappear. Then they all disappeared. Now I can book only a private table for 2 at 9:00pm every night 🙁 I guess somehow other people have been able to book and now everything is booked up?? Not sure how they were able to book and not me. So frustrating

Yes I’ve been following this one too. Seems a lot of people are able to book theirs so I don’t know whats up with mine. When I called in they were like “that’s odd…” and couldn’t get it to work either. Said they’d call me back. Ha…ha..

Thanks! Yes I’ll be on the Sun March 19. I’ll just keep trying back with the reservations. I’d really like to have those done ahead of time. It really is so weird, mid Jan I was able to book the first 10 days, then in Feb they disappeared and I redid them several times, they finally stayed for two weeks or so then disappeared. Then at the end of Feb I was able to do reservations for the last 10 days and not the first! Those disappeared and I redid them and now randomly some have stayed and some have cleared off. Oh well, I’ll check it out later!

Well it’s all three that I’ve tried and that don’t work: website, old app and new app. I’ve called in and done the online chat and they’ve helped me redo them 2 of the 5 or 6 times but then I check back later and they’re cleared off again. So frustrating! I don’t know, I guess I’ll just keep redoing it and hope it sticks! I wasn’t planning on spending any extra to do specialty restaurants, for main dining room- worst case scenario I can’t set up any reservations, how hard is it to get a table if i just show up? At an earlier time say around 6?

I’ve updated the app days ago, and submitted everything through the website too. The website is actually where I’ve had the most issues of things clearing off.

Has anyone had the issue where you’re able to book the dining, but then it’s all cleared off next time you open the app? I have done this at least 5 times, and just now when I went to redo it again, there are no good dining options available only 8:40pm

So for everyone on the ship currently: without the shows running are you still finding that there’s plenty to do or is it boring in the evenings? Hopefully Princess has come up with some other entertainment…I saw some shows were running in the piazza and the pub. Anything else?

I’d love to see a sample of the shows/events/lectures offered if anyone has a photo of that!

For anyone interested to know, my Genoa refund DID show up just now on my credit card, so that was pretty fast! At first it looked incorrect because they only issued me about a $44 refund (2 separate payments), but I discovered that on the Princess website when trying to add a different excursion to my card, it showed me having a credit for the remaining balance I was looking for? Odd, but hey all is squared away so I’ll take it. Just thought I’d let you all know that sometimes as in my case, your refunds may be 50% refund and 50% Princess account credit
