There are many teetotalers like yourself that thinks the Plus package still provides value, but others think you need to drink a lot to make it worthwhile

Great for those that drive to Galveston to go on the Jubilee. I was just referring to my first hand experience cruising on the Mardi Gras four times and the Celebration five times. The broth bowls available at Chibang at lunchtime on sea days is the best under the radar choice available on board.

And 75% of cruisers feel it's worth it since that's the percentage of cruisers that buy Plus or Premier.

It's a shame that cruises to nowhere are currently banned for whatever stupid reason. At the very least, a five day cruise with a solo stop at Celebration Key on day three and ending with two sea days would be doable and legal, but alas, the bean counters at Carnival would probably never do it. A 5-4-5 starting on a Saturday from PC or MIA would increase the flow to Celebration Key and also let those that enjoy sea days a reason to book this itinerary.

Regarding the plus package. It's 60 per day, 16 towards gratuities, 4 towards two casual meals, 25 towards wifi. That leaves you with 15 for drinks. Alcoholic and non alcoholic including bottled water, soda, mocktails and espresso based coffee drinks and the fresh juice bar. Even if you don't drink alcohol, it's real easy to break the 15 dollar amount on the non alcoholic stuff.

If you decide to go for a lobster roll, see if the place will do it for you with butter instead of mayo. The butter is so much better and doesn't overwhelm like the mayo does. Even better than butter is a squeeze of lemon.
