  1. Wouldn't use the word most. MSC has it with their Yacht Club only, not their general population on board. Disney may use bracelets, never cruised on them. But, the other US based lines, Royal, Carnival, Celebrity, & NCL are all still using cards.
  2. And it's easy to figure out who the Queen 🐝 is as well as the worker 🐝
  3. That wasn't a tour he was on. He was sitting at the pool bar enjoying a drink of his choice while enjoying the views.
  4. You were the first to mention it and now others that have followed suit are posting about it. The bottom line is that if it saves you money in the long run, it's worth it. Unfortunately all 10 of our cruises between now and February of 2026 were higher priced.
  5. Those beds were made for sleeping. If you wanted hanky panky, your partner could always ride cow girl in one bed, lol.
  6. The 30 pppd is for a balcony cabin. It's 20 pppd for an inside or ocean view. Your situation is the same as ours, all 10 of our current cruises were booked on the day bookings opened and of course are all higher priced now, even our February of 2026 sailings.
  7. But it's only good for bookings these three days. And more often than not you always get a better price when you book as soon as sailings open up for bookings. I think there has only been one person who has reported that they made out better with this sale. (dog) 280 for a week is a good deal with OBC. I'm usually between 200 and 250 with the TA I'm currently using.
  8. Seems like your post is 100% pure speculation on your part and nothing else. The Sun will not be in the Caribbean until October and they still have 3 months of European sailings in order to get things set up properly.
  9. Just beat me to my story about Singlesworld. My first cruise in July of 86 was with them with the original Carnival Jubilee. They had two groups to choose from 18-35, 35+. They matched you up with a corresponding same sex partner. Ate at large 8-10 tables, had our own shore excursion groups. Let's just say there was more than one hookup in the group, lol.
  10. Unfortunately Celebrity is in our rearview mirror. Don't like changes they have done regarding upgrading from the basic to the premium drink package and also don't like the removal of the gratuities from their package as well. The Plus package is the best value at sea as far as I'm concerned at 60 per day. Our cruises in 2022 and 2023 were booked back when it was only 40 per day. But we currently have 11 cruises booked on Princess all with the Plus package and we'll use OBC towards the Premier upgrade on our Sun and Star sailings.
  11. Don, could you please advise me on which ship has a 25 drink limit? 😉😉😉
  12. You do have other options, like continuing to cruise more often on X and just abandoning Princess if the Medallion and it's tracking ability is disturbing to you. I find it's fabulous that your stateroom door automatically opens for you as you approach and you don't have to reach into your pocket for a cruise card to swipe. It's really nice if your hands are full with a flat white and a few almond croissants.
  13. Yes, you can use the OBC to purchase the Plus package once you get on board. If you're booking a balcony cabin, you should receive 30 pppd even with just getting the standard fare. This of course would cover half of the 60 pppd rate for Plus. If you are staying in an inside or ocean view, the OBC would be reduced to 20 pppd, which would then cover one third of your Plus cost. I have 10 future cruises all currently booked with refundable deposits and the plus package. Just checked and all 10 are priced higher and only one is close but not enough to go through the hassle of cancelling, rebooking and then also having a NRD. It's usually better to just book as soon as sailings open up to get the best rate. All of my cruises have always gone up, with the exception of a single 14 day repo cruise we have this August. The price drop enabled us to get a free upgrade from inside to balcony.
  14. Go to Howl at the Moon. It's a dueling piano bar that consists of three different pianists doing 20 minute sets as a pair from I believe 800 - 1200 four different nights. The other 3 nights comedy is in the same venue.
  15. Could have been your neighbors but you never heard it before over the loud volume from the TV.
  16. All four of the cities I mentioned, as well as Jamman's Intercourse are in the Amish communities in Lancaster County. I grew up in the Philly area, so I'm familiar with them. Not familiar with Lickingville in NW PA, but thanks for educating me.
  17. That's only 10 per day on a 10 day cruise. Paul should come in at 135, assuming his dry day stays.
  18. There's a Climax in Pennsylvania as well. Other cities include Blue Ball, Virginville and Bird-In-Hand. Edit...how could I forget Intercourse, thanks Jamman54.
  19. You could use the OBC to upgrade from Plus to Premier. You get two specialty dinners each, unlimited casual meals and of course the increase from 15-20 per alcoholic drink. This would especially come in hand if you're cruising on the Sun with it's new bar menus with higher prices and more choices between 15-20.
  20. Since you have a few drinks and you like your lattes and bottled water, it works for "borderline" teetotalers like you and your husband. It obviously doesn't work for the previous poster and her DH since they were 14.25 short of 60 and they don't use medallion delivery, don't eat at casual locations, and don't drink bottled water or espresso based drinks. It's nice when those on the fence take the time to break it all down and make an educated decision instead of some that think you have to drink like a fish in order to make the Plus package have value.
  21. What are the odds that it's real "butter"? After all the ship provides "authentic" Philly Cheese Steaks and "authentic" Buffalo Wings.
  22. When we cruise on the Sun and the Star I will use our OBC towards upgrading from Plus to Premier. So the specialty increase and higher priced drinks will be a moot point. But, if the menus are the same on our Enchanted cruises, then I will just possibly pay for specialty dining and pay for casual overages over our 2 visits each since we'll be on board for 14 days and have 450 in OBC to burn. Whatever we don't spend will be cashed out with a very small loss via the casino.
