  1. ToxM, I am so pleased that you are booking another cruise after that terrible experience, which could have been your last cruise on O. Last week I gave my TA my preferred itinerary and since it was on Vista I decided to see if the solo Concierge state room would work for me. I have not been able to find a suitable travel companion so currently I am traveling solo at twice the price. My 20 day 23 September 2024 cruise cost 14,000 compared to 23,000. (round nums) for twice the price of an A4. So the savings in this case are pretty significant.
  2. OK here are some actual numbers for a Vista Solo Concierge cabin compared to twice the price of an A4 (which is a bit of an over estimation because 100% single supplement does not equate to exactly double). My 20 day 23 September 2024 cruise cost 14,000 compared to 23,000. (round nums) for twice the price of an A4. So the savings in this case are pretty significant.
  3. I’m very sorry you did not have a good experience with O air. In 2021 I purchased one way airfare from Austin to Rome for a transatlantic cruise from Rome to Miami. I upgraded to business class. I was very happy with the price and the service. It’s not always bad.
  4. This is also my impression of the Solo pricing. Not a big savings…….
  5. Some grand voyages sailing in January and February 2024 have been visible on the website for more than a month already.
  6. I was disappointed with the pricing I saw on the Vista solo Concierge state room pricing. It looked like I could save 1000 or 2000 over the double occupancy balcony state room (I could be wrong and perhaps someone did a more careful analysis). Of course, Concierge state room has more amenities or benefits than a balcony stateroom. But I’m not really into that so much. as I was lurking on the Regent forum, I noticed some regulars would post that the included alcohol was not top shelf. I’m OK with that. And there is also some concern that the excursions are also not so hot. Anyway, I’m comfortable with my choice. My expectations are set to middling OK to good. After my R cruise, O will still probably be my preferred cruise line, as I like being able to choose a la carte which amenities I want to purchase and which ones I want to DIY (private excursions, bring onboard wine to drink in cabin or corkage, etc.)
