  1. It looks like Symphony is the only one impacted so far. Their sailing got pushed from today to tomorrow. I still have to watch the last two episodes. I have been binge watching the Americans series while serving my quarantine. One more season to watch in it. Congratulations on the move. I like the darker handles, faucets, lighting and the new paint scheme. Only one garage door? Where are you putting all the cars? Dani, sorry to hear this story. Hopefully things are still on track for your cruise. So an update on my quarantine. Susan wanted me to test again yesterday (Saturday morning), although it hadn’t been 5 days since my positive test, but it had been 5 days since my start of symptoms. Still tested positive, although most of my symptoms have now disappeared. She tested also, and she is still testing negative. I guess wearing the mask, avoiding everyone, and walking around with a Clorox wipe in my hand all the time has helped so far. I hope I am able to see that movie this week, before my grandson finishes school for the year, and we have him for the summer.
  2. I have heard of that. Doesn’t matter. All that matters is that your correct cabin number is listed.
  3. I agree. He was almost finished with this bath before we left for our cruise. He was down to cutting and installing new oak baseboard, when he called me up to look at the stain that he thought was too light to match the existing door frames. Fortunately, I still had some dark walnut stain that matched all the woodwork in our house, and did some test staining on some scrap oak to make sure it matched. He said his mistake, and he went and bought new oak trim and stained it with the matching stain. We have been so satisfied that he is not only good, but fast, that we give him a bonus when he finishes.
  4. It is 61° and sunny, with a high of 70° today. I am glad it has been nice every day in the Bay Area, so I can spend my day on the back deck, instead of in my quarantine room. I am glad grandson still has another week of school, so we do not have to keep him entertained all day. Tomorrow will be the 5th day after testing positive, so I am hoping for a negative test then. So far, everyone else has no symptoms. I was hoping I wasn’t contagious before my son flew to Europe last week, and he is still fine. He is traveling from Munich to Paris today. He has another week there, and it is a pain that you have to test to fly back to the US, when you can cross any border by land without testing.
  5. Congrats on that weight loss, Greg. That is an impressive goal, and I hope you make it. I have found that frequent cruising makes it much harder to achieve and maintain. 😏
  6. Congrats on the weight loss. We did one of those “Biggest Loser, Family Edition” a few years ago. Instead of pounds lost, we modified it to % of body weight lost. It does make for a friendly competition.
  7. Maybe I should come over there, since I am wearing my KN95 all the time since testing positive. Too bad I couldn’t send you the guy we use to do any remodel jobs at our house. He is a perfectionist, and does what is needed to do a job properly. As an added bonus, he does the work for less than what I think it should be. We had him do a small bath remodel a couple years ago, and just had him do our master bath remodel, which he finished while we were on our cruise. It was perfect as well. Hope you get your backsplash problem corrected without too much hassle.
  8. My guess was that I got it at grandparent’s day at the school last Tuesday, or on the flight to California on Wednesday. There was an awful lot of coughing and hacking going on from people in lines at the airport and on the plane. Started having symptoms of a sore throat on Friday evening. Tested Saturday and Sunday, and those were both negative. The first positive test showed up Tuesday morning. Of course, my granddaughter had symptoms show up the same time as mine, and she tested negative. She had it in January, so maybe she still had some immunity, and her symptoms only lasted a couple days this time, so they didn’t retest her.
  9. Thank you, and thanks to all who wished me well. So far, no one else has had any symptoms. Today, it just feels like it does a couple days before you shake a typical cold. I will probably wait till Friday to test again, and hope it will be negative by then. I was hoping I would not have an appetite, because I could shed a couple pounds, but that hasn’t been the case.
  10. I still feel about the same, with just cold symptoms. After two negative tests the last couple days, I got one of these this morning. I have been staying away from everyone, because even if it was a cold, I didn’t want to pass it on. I guess I will just miss out on a few fun things for a few days. I just hope I wasn’t contagious when my son flew to Europe Friday morning. I would hate for him to have to deal with it while there. Thanks for asking, Dani.
  11. Beautiful photos. I recognize many of those places. It looks like you made the hike up Diamond Head to take a couple of them. All the islands have their own, unique charm. Still, I think Maui is my favorite.
  12. That is the one. We did see the TV station reporters there, doing a little filming. I am looking forward to the warm up. It is 50° this morning.
  13. I downloaded that series and watched several of the episodes on the flight out to California. I did like what I watched so far.
  14. My son left me his Tesla Model X to drive, so no gas for that one. We are close enough to most places to walk, but have to drive it to get grandson to and from school.
  15. Another day, another negative, but I still feel crappy. Grandson just took a test, and he was negative. They have everyone take a test before they get together for play dates. I guess it was good that we picked up 10 tests at the festival yesterday. They were giving them away. Hope we are all healthy for our flight back in 13 days.
  16. Well, I had been enjoying my time in California until last night. Felt great all day, and we logged over 21,000 steps. I spent the morning doing some home repairs for my son, while he is in Europe on business. Gas prices were jumping. This was the price when I went to Home Depot And all grades were up 10 cents later in the day. We walked over to a fire prevention festival, which was pretty small. They did have a few booths, and explanations on how they use goats for vegetation control, along with some goats for kids to see. So now, for my not feeling great part. I started with a low temperature and a cough. It is too late for post cruise symptoms, and I suspect I picked up a bug at grandparents day at the school last Tuesday. I think that, because granddaughter back in PA came down with the same symptoms last night. So far, the tests show this, but I will probably take another later today. Meanwhile, I am avoiding everyone else.
  17. When I first glanced at that speedometer, I thought maybe you were listening to Sammy Hagar. Obviously, that song was not made for the Canadian market with k/hr, but with the conversion it still works.
  18. So she tested negative on the ship, or did you not report it to medical?
