  1. Yes it is, as well as the 30-45 minutes of meeting time prior to bus departure.
  2. So today, I was getting back to walking more and competing in Fitbit challenges again. My regular group missed me as I rested with the virus. Not my normal lake, but I walked to a small one. Found some baby ducks there. These were still part of the family And one staying close to mama Saw a few turtles, but this is the only one I got a photo of Time to start prepping some baby back ribs for supper.
  3. An unopened Star Wars VHS. As with anything, the unopened ones are worth the most. Haven’t had symptoms for several days now. Maybe I am one of those who will test positive for a while. According to CDC, I should not be contagious
  4. Thank you Dani. We will have a little celebration, but it will not be a normal one since I still had a positive test this morning. Although I am supposedly no longer contagious, I am still being avoided.
  5. It should be port side, not far from a window near the back of the dining room. We were at table 446, which was a table for10, so it should be close to it. It was out of the traffic flow. We had Hadi for a waiter and Kennet as Assistant waiter, and they were both very good.
  6. I guess I must be doing something right with my son’s garden, because the plants have almost doubled in size in the last week. Even one of his strawberry plants had one that started turning red. Daughter-in-law has been working from home, due to Covid cases (not only me, but her office had several). So when I saw what lunch might be today, I thought I would pass on it. That isn’t to say I haven’t eaten this before, but I don’t like to work so hard for my food, and these don’t have much meat on them. So instead, I grabbed some leftover pizza and broke my isolation to go see the new Top Gun movie. They have 18 showings a day, so Susan and I went to the first one. Only one other person in the theatre, so it was like a private showing (plus isolation was easy). We both liked the movie. Supper tonight was shrimp and fettuccine Alfredo.
  7. I plan to do that Tuesday morning, but I have read you can test positive for a couple months. Tomorrow will be 10 days since start of symptoms, so should no longer be contagious Every one else was negative yesterday
  8. They will only be open for a limited number of hours, not 24 hours
  9. @Sea Dog Greg, I couldn’t help but think of you when I got this in my email this morning. Wendall August Forge is a hand crafted, metal forge, not far from our area. They have been doing custom metal pieces for nearly 100 years. We have several coasters, Christmas Ornaments, and plates from their forge. When we were looking for a unique gift for our DIL’s parents, that was made in America, this is where we went.
  10. We have something similar in our area with free concerts all summer, although only a couple times a week. They have some really good groups that we enjoy.
  11. If you are trying to book iFly or north star for the port days that are free, those slots will fill up before shows would. You can always book those two for a fee on sea days.
  12. Supper tonight. Filet, butter potatoes, corn on the cob, and Cheesecake Factory bread. At my quarantine table for one on the back deck. I know I will have to take over some cooking, once I am allowed to touch things again. But right now, it is kind of nice being served. 😀
  13. I am still being treated as a leper, but that is probably because I still tested positive this morning. Thankfully, Susan is still negative. DIL and grandson will test later, after they get up. It is 60° and raining this morning, which means I won’t have to water my son’s garden this morning. He has been sending lots of wonderful pictures of Paris, but they had some rain too. Daughter is feeling good after her surgery, but she will miss the rest of the school year. She is going to try to go in on the last day to see her students one last time. Now my goal is to at least test negative by Tuesday, so I can celebrate Susan’s birthday.
  14. As someone who knows nothing about tending to a garden, my son left me in charge of watering his while he is away. I have been diligently watering, and the plants seem to be growing. For you gardeners out there, is there anything else to it? Oh, and should I be concerned? I saw one of these California flying fish out there today!
  15. Last we heard, things went well, and they were closing up. Will probably be a while before we are able to talk to her.
  16. Good luck to the Rangers. My theory is that with a different bounce, and my Pens would be there. Since the Pens are out, I hope the Ranger hoist the cup this year. Enjoy the game. There is nothing like live, playoff hockey.
  17. So, it seems to never fail, that when we are away, something happens with my daughter or her family. Why should this trip be different. She had called a few days after we got to California, and said she had been having pains. Went to the hospital, had some scans done and they said it was maybe a kidney stone up high, gave her some antibiotics and sent her home. Then last night, we get a call. She is in the hospital for an emergency appendectomy. Now the waiting begins to see how things are.
  18. It looks like Symphony is the only one impacted so far. Their sailing got pushed from today to tomorrow. I still have to watch the last two episodes. I have been binge watching the Americans series while serving my quarantine. One more season to watch in it. Congratulations on the move. I like the darker handles, faucets, lighting and the new paint scheme. Only one garage door? Where are you putting all the cars? Dani, sorry to hear this story. Hopefully things are still on track for your cruise. So an update on my quarantine. Susan wanted me to test again yesterday (Saturday morning), although it hadn’t been 5 days since my positive test, but it had been 5 days since my start of symptoms. Still tested positive, although most of my symptoms have now disappeared. She tested also, and she is still testing negative. I guess wearing the mask, avoiding everyone, and walking around with a Clorox wipe in my hand all the time has helped so far. I hope I am able to see that movie this week, before my grandson finishes school for the year, and we have him for the summer.
  19. I have heard of that. Doesn’t matter. All that matters is that your correct cabin number is listed.
  20. I agree. He was almost finished with this bath before we left for our cruise. He was down to cutting and installing new oak baseboard, when he called me up to look at the stain that he thought was too light to match the existing door frames. Fortunately, I still had some dark walnut stain that matched all the woodwork in our house, and did some test staining on some scrap oak to make sure it matched. He said his mistake, and he went and bought new oak trim and stained it with the matching stain. We have been so satisfied that he is not only good, but fast, that we give him a bonus when he finishes.
  21. It is 61° and sunny, with a high of 70° today. I am glad it has been nice every day in the Bay Area, so I can spend my day on the back deck, instead of in my quarantine room. I am glad grandson still has another week of school, so we do not have to keep him entertained all day. Tomorrow will be the 5th day after testing positive, so I am hoping for a negative test then. So far, everyone else has no symptoms. I was hoping I wasn’t contagious before my son flew to Europe last week, and he is still fine. He is traveling from Munich to Paris today. He has another week there, and it is a pain that you have to test to fly back to the US, when you can cross any border by land without testing.
  22. Congrats on that weight loss, Greg. That is an impressive goal, and I hope you make it. I have found that frequent cruising makes it much harder to achieve and maintain. 😏
  23. Congrats on the weight loss. We did one of those “Biggest Loser, Family Edition” a few years ago. Instead of pounds lost, we modified it to % of body weight lost. It does make for a friendly competition.
