  1. We were book for Alaska Cruisetour 2020 . 10 days land and 7 cruise. It, of course, was cancelled. We rebooked for July 2021. I am optimistic. I will probably cancel if I cannot get the vaccine by then. We are in the high risk group because of age so I am hoping we will have the vaccine in time. The cruise is one thing but cannot see sharing a bus for 10 days.
  2. Is the "Dream Big Sale" really a sale?? When you go to book there are 2 prices one with and one without the sale. At least it is honest. We all have known that though perks appear to be free, the cruise prices due go up during a Perk Sale. Turned out it was still a reasonable deal, in deducting gratuities from the difference we ended up paying $19. per person for the drink package. Not taking into account internet, which we rarely use. We had a 2/4/2021 21 day B2B cruise which we decided to cancel and booked a 1/24/2022 - 21 day B2B. Prices were over $2000. more.
  3. We had a July cruise tour, 17 days. When Princess cancelled I asked my travel agent to rebook for 2021. We were on the Coral, now the Royal. Same price, we got the $150.00 OBC per person and also received the same perks we had booked with the July 2020 cruise, drinks, gratuities and internet.
  4. We were booked on an Alaska cruise this July. When Princess cancelled I asked my travel agent to book same cruise 2021. It is a17 cruise tour. Price was the same as this year and I got the same perks that I booked with this year's cruise. Drinks, Internet and gratuities which really surprised me. At least for me. I am very happy with Princess.
  5. Scheduled for a Princess ALASKA Cruise in July. Hopefully it will happen. Last cruise in February was the healthies cruise I have ever been on.
  6. As has been stated if you book a 28 days cruise and their are segments to the cruise you get a mini bar setup for each segment even though it was book as one cruise. We did the British Isle in September ending in FLL. It could be booked as one or 2 cruises. We booked as one cruise and got 2 mini-bar setups. Just completed 20 days in the Carribean, booked as one cruise but could be booked as 2 10 day cruises. We received 2 setups.
  7. We were on the Crown Princess for 28 days ending in Ft. Lauderdale in October. In the everyday section of the menu they no longer off a steak. Not a big deal for me as I don't have steak that often. I have also noticed that the menu selection for deserts is more limited than on the previous cruise. Maybe 1 or 2 new deserts, the rest are the everyday available deserts. No bad but it is a change. By the way, they have offered the Wine Package on the Crown.
  8. Whatever someone wants to do, OK. If you have a fixed time in the MDR and decide to go anytime just make sure you let them know you have switched. Nothing worse than coming to a table in fixed dining and have one or 2 couples not show every night. Those who feel "we'll keep our fixed time just in case". This is not fair to the other table mates.
  9. We were on the Crown for 28 days, British Isles and then Transatlantic arriving FLL Oct. 8th. We had a great cruise and liked the ship. As far as the renovation, I noticed that most of the common areas and halls had new carpet. Hard to miss. Our room had new carpet and new carpet was still being installed in a few rooms on our floor. We are happy to be sailing on her again in February.

  11. It is my understanding that you also pay a gratuity for wine, beer and liquor you order for your room.
  12. A private car from Heathrow to Southampton for $10.00??
  13. The question is how were the 3 B2B cruises booked. If it was booked as one cruise, it is not B2B, it is one cruise and PSVA does not apply. If it was booked as three B2B cruises it probably does apply. We took a Celebrity cruise in the Med. We began and ended in Barcelona. It was 4 B2B 7 day cruises. At the end of each 7 days, we had to get a new cruise card and get off the ship, turn around and re-board. It was 4 cruises that just happened to be B2B.
  14. We prefer the MDR. In some 30 cruises we have never eaten in the buffet for dinner. What we like in the MDR is our table mates. We have never had bad table mates in all our cruises. We request 3-4 couple tables. A few years ago, on the first night we ended up with a table for 2. My wife said, if she has to just eat with just me for the cruise she is getting off at the next port. We also like to share at breakfast and lunch in the MDR unless it is a port day.
  15. We are on a TRANSATLANTIC , flight was changed from 1:20pm to noon. How much time does transatlantic add to the embarkation time. We are TSA Precheck and the arrival is on a Tuesday..
