We have not done a Christmas cruise but we did do a New Year’s cruise and it was very nice.
I would do a NYE cruise again in a heartbeat! Ours was on the Harmony.

We have not sailed on the Adventure, but have been on her sister ships several times.
I keep seeing people griping and complaining about her casino and other things, which I try to take with a “grain of salt”.
For those of you who have sailed the Adventure I would love to hear some positive feedback as we sail on 1/27….😎😎
Thank you!!!⚓️⚓️⚓️⚓️

I am divorced with sole legal and physical custody of my children. Do I only need their birth certificates? I wouldn’t think I would have to get permission from their father!? They are 4 and 6 years old.
You may or may not be asked for a notarized letter, but do you want to take that chance?we have taken our grandchildren on several cruises and on one their mother was with us. We were still asked for the letter once on Disney and twice on Royal Caribbean.
if at all possible I would try and get the letter….

I am curious about Florida's Brightline train, and wanted to know if it has had any issues with breakdowns, being on time, etc.. For those in the know, enlighten me.
Thanks!
Just had a friend that took the train from Orlando to Miami and she said it was great!! Absolutely on time and everything was clean and in perfect working order.she cannot wait to do it again!

Yes, my husband also has a Medtronic device (got it in Nov) and the info from them is what you said, it's ok to walk through the scanners (just don't stop halfway).
My question is if anyone has taken their bedside scanner with them. Were you able to connect to the ship's wi-fi to transmit dara if needed? We will be on Princess in February, still need to find out if "Comminicator" has to be taken along.
I have a Medtronic device and I was given the option to have the bedside scanner or be monitored through an app. I selected the app so as long as I have my phone I am being monitored. When I cruise I get the ship’s WiFi and I am covered for the entire cruise. So much easier and so convenient!! -

I found this but you will need to verify the information as I did not know there were any in the area….

FLL To New Orleans:
10:16am flgiht from Jetblue out of FLL. ($154)
Next one out is 5pm on Southwest from Miami ($156).
Then 6:42pm on American Airlines (Miami) $94
Think I can make the 10am if i'm one of the first off the ship then uber to the airport?
Which ship??? The larger Oasis class ships tend to get people off much quicker than the smaller ships -

Cruising from Miami or Ft. Lauderdale is a breeze when it comes to transportation!! We're a group of 25 people that will be cruising out of Port Canaveral in June/2025. We're planning on flying in the day before the cruise, staying at a hotel and would prefer to get a private shuttle bus that can take us from the Orlando hotel to the port. Would appreciate any recommendations on a company that offers private shuttles for larger groups.
Yes...I'm a planning freak! 🙂
and just FYI……GoPort can give you a package where they arranged your hotel and all transportation to and from the port…- 1

I understand taxi are run by meters and cost about $40 plus tip. I was wondering since I have early flight at 11:30 , and leaving self assist... do they have SAS waiting to take people to airport for $15 flat rate per person like they have when you come off plane to get to port???
I don’t believe SAS goes to the Miami airport…. -
We stayed at the Hampton Inn Brickell and enjoyed it very much. It’s in the financial district so safe and clean. It’s within walking distance to shops and restaurants and for a small fee we took their shuttle to the port.

A quickie for CC board
one of our kids just booked a cruise, asked me if the drink package can be used on CocoCay.
Not a big drinker, so I am not sure of the answer.
Thanks in advance
Eddie

Sorry, to be unclear and to make it worse, I had to edit my post because it posted before I was done - hit the wrong button 😞 Yes! They offer the BOGO 50% off on day 1 and I was wondering, since that is the price, if you get the Diamond Plus 30% off that price since it is the current "onboard price." I recently sailed with a friend who sailed solo and they wouldn't give her 25% off her BP and had to pay full price because the deal required a second person even though when you buy online it just gives 25% off per person.... I know the rules are tricky and weird but I wanted to check! Thank you for the help!
We are also Diamond + and Prime in the casino. We find it cheaper…..once onboard to go ahead and to first use our two free days of internet and then go down and purchase the package for the rest of week and have them apply our 30% Prime discount…. -
They cannot board the next group until they have a zero count from your cruise.
Get off the ship and find something else to do……please don’t be one of those people who holds up the next boarding…

Haven't sailed out of Port Canaveral in quite some time. Assuming no delays clearing anything, what's the earliest people have been in a taxi/Uber after getting off a ship, more specific an oasis class? If you carry your own luggage off of course.
Which ship?? The large ships such as the Wonder have this down pat and will usually start letting off self-assist people around 6:30-6:45 (our experience)The smaller ships such as the Mariner always fall later than that. The earliest we have been able to self assist was 7:15-7:45

Uh oh..I think hubby deleted tat email...
just log onto your account on the website. On your cruise Click on “View More Details”…..they will be there if available… -
I love that the Allure hasn’t gone through the amplifications so the large purple Abyss isn’t blocking the view of the ocean. I also love that the Diamond (or Crown) Lounge is in Deck 11 and has that beautiful floor to ceiling view….

Is the parking garage at the MSC terminal 10 still under construction? I heard that it was causing delays in trying to park.
I believe there is a good deal of road construction going on that will affect Terminals 10, 6, 5.
it is supposed to last about a year…😳

The hotels closest to Port Canaveral (less than a mile) that I would recommend are:
*Hampton Inn Cruise Port/Home2Suites
*Homewood Suites
*Towneplace Suites
*Springhill Suites
*Residence Inn
*Country Inn and Suites
If you choose to stay near the airport….here is a list of the popular shuttles for PC

We always have the earliest time slot available but still receive this message every cruise…

Agree, but you have to walk a fine line: Arrive too early, and the departing cruisers' cars are still in the parking deck ... arrive too late, and the boarding cruisers have already taken up the good spots.
Very true!!! You have to time it correctly, but after sailing from PC more than 30 times we are getting better at it….😂😂 -
Christmas Cruise
in Royal Caribbean International
Posted
and it seems to be less children……not that I have anything against kids, but it’s not the same “ Santa excitement” as you would have on a Christmas cruise…
