I think you make a good point about being too familiar with the food. After several O cruises, I’m not nearly as excited about the Red Ginger sea bass as I once was and am probably a bit pickier, too. I have thought a general menu refresh would be nice.

We were just on the Marina in September and found her to be in good shape. We are looking forward to the refurbed bathrooms, though. We’ll see you on board on the 20th!

We are also doing South America in January and are debating whether to get the YF shot. We’re a little north of 70 but pretty healthy. Realizing that we’re all different, if you’ve already gotten the vaccine, did you have side effects? Our doctor is doing some research and hasn’t given us his answer, yet.

The best information I can find indicates there are currently 323 cruise ships sailing. That would be one heck of a spread sheet for the brave (?) person to track all the port changes so that we can have a factual basis to determine whether O is a more persistent offender. Anecdotally, of course, I do feel like I am seeing more reports of other cruise lines also making changes. And, not surprisingly from me, I’m still going to go with the changes, whatever they are, are not made lightly or with malice afore thought. Much better for my peace of mind and cruise enjoyment.

Had a similar conversation with a GM. He also indicated they all hate missed port stops and don’t save money by missing them. As my experience in captaining a “ship” is a 22’ runabout on an area lake, I’m not going to second guess the Cap. I have to agree with others that if you have this amount of distrust, it may be time to explore other cruise lines.
