  1. It is puzzling why people get so bothered when some want to know where their voluntary gratuity is going.

We get it.....some want the guy cleaning the crew deck bathrooms to be a customer tipped person.  Maybe they will let you all behind the scenes so you can throw a $50 at him also.🤣

    Hello,

I'm bemused by this fixation with 'wash cloths' such that we have two threads running concurrently.🤨

.....because it is one of those things that is so standard in this market people go 'huh' when they learn they are not provided.

Well, we are 22 days out from our cruise and im pretty sure my wife isnt going to have her passport.  Which was submitted in Jan of this year...  So my question is when i check her in online, it only gives 2 options, ID card and Passport.  Under ID card, do i just put her drivers license info in and then they will take a pic of her birth cert when we get to the port?

Absolutely crazy we are having to go through this, but we cant even get through on the phone to try to get an in person appt set up. It will be 6 months since we submitted her expedited passport renewal.  So anyones experience cruising with just a birth cert. is greatly appreciated.

    thanks

You need to reach out to your Congressional reps for assistance.  They can do an inquiry after the estimate is missed.  What does the State Dept status site say?

For the other question....just enter her DL number.

Thanks from a fellow wing-lover! That's too bad they're an extra cost. I'm glad they're available and I'll still happily try them but it's a little annoying being nickel and dimed.

    This is the current menu....

Any idea if the Seaside has opened up food options again in the Sports Bar? On our 4/27 sailing, we went there for wings, but they were not serving any food (bartender said they were too short on staff).

I know the wings are available.

All good reasons to stay away from buffets. The smaller portions served in the MDR are less likely to give one guilt  ordering several and not finishing everyone. Besides the better handling by a waiter that depends on tips to provide a better meal time experience.

Sorry....I just don't have the time to invest in that every meal.  Breakfast and lunch ran 1hr 15 minutes and dinner has been a solid 2 hours.  We had to look for other options.  I can't dedicate 5h a day sitting in the dinning room.

  7. I have been on the Seaside this week and there is no way the food holding temp situation has been rectified.  The majority of the food is simply no where near proper serving temp on the buffet.  Strangely, even standing there while a new pan comes from the back, you will find it is also cold when it should have been directly removed from a warming cabinet.

The food waste is pretty obvious.  People select what looks good and then after a couple of bites you just abandon it.

  8. I would say South Beach only because Lighthouse fills up so fast and ends up jam packed.  You can rent an umbrella but there are plenty of shady spots under trees with loungers.  You are also very close to bathrooms, food truck and a bar.  Since it is on the lagoon the water is nearly dead calm so it would be great for a small child.
