  1. Just returned from Adventure of the Seas Saturday. We are double vaxed and double boosted. Tested positive two days later in spite of the fact that we avoided all crowded areas, wore masks and took the stairs. This new variant is so catchy. We can’t blame the cruise line, it’s everywhere. Luckily most only have mild symptoms. Crew were all wearing N95 masks under their Royal masks. Very few passengers masked.
  2. I don’t think you’ll have any issues. Most people want to rush and show up at 11 am. The later boarding times are less crowded and I doubt anyone will even check your times.
  3. No. I ordered fennel and endive salad, but got a big bowl of arugula. Also ordered bucatini and and got spaghetti. Overall it wasn’t a great experience compared to Jamie’s on Anthem the month before.
  4. Used mine for Chops lunch on Adventure last week and my husbands for Giovanni’s lunch the second day. We didn’t want to eat dinner at either so I was glad they let us use them for lunches. Not sure if it’s allowed on all ships. I’ve never tried it before last week.
  5. I’m still waiting for one in 2023 that hasn’t come out yet.
  6. I have a similar situation but it doesn’t involve FCC. I booked a last minute sailing for June. After I paid in full my sailing went down by a considerable amount. I was told that I had to complete a form (which my travel agent did) and that NCL would review it and issue FCC if they approved it. That was a couple of weeks ago and I still haven’t heard anything.
  7. I’ve eaten in Coastal many times, but never tried to order off the dining room menu. On most ships I believe Coastal is pretty far from the actual dining room. On the Anthem it is right beside the buffet. I am sure they would get anything you wanted from the Windjammer if it’s the Anthem. Maybe if you requested what you wanted in advance from the maitre’d he could accommodate you.
  8. Yes, just making the point that other people have been in worse situations. At least this cruise is far out and they didn’t lose any money.
  9. At least this is for 2023. What about all the Jewel sailings that were cancelled in January? Some people had already flown into Florida and had their cruises cancelled that were supposed to be sailing the next day. My back to back which was the following week was booked long in advance with great pricing. We weren’t given the choice to move to different sailings with price protection. We got FCCs and lost some money on airfare. Hey, stuff happens. At least you didn’t lose any money. BTW, I didn’t stop cruising RCCL. I have three more booked this year.
