We were able to use both of ours for lunches on the Adventure in May.

Mine came 6-7 days before the cruise.

When I spoke to the people at the toll free number in Bermuda they told me the TA was valid for 30 days 🤷🏻‍♀️. Regardless, all of my cruises were more than 30 days apart so it wouldn’t have worked for me anyhow.

Yes and I will add that the TA is only good for 30 days. I have had to get three of them in the last four months 🤦🏻‍♀️

When you go to eat in the specialty restaurant for breakfast or lunch they ask for your cabin number or your sea pass card. This would show who was in the suite. I do not believe they would allow anyone in a cabin that is not a suite to eat there since it is a perk for full suites only. It’s not a large venue and it gets crowded at times so I think the addition of five extra people wouldn’t be allowed.

I’ve booked that transatlantic itinerary several times and it’s always been cancelled for some reason either by them or me 🙄. I’ve also done that Boston to Florida repo several times, the no name storm, hurricane Sandy, and a few others. We probably passed each other in the hallway heading aft 😊. Thanks again.

Thanks for the heads up. We were supposed to be on the Serenade transatlantic they cancelled in September of 2023, but this one is also very interesting.

We used to live in that area and sailed from there many times. It’s a very easy port to navigate. There’s a parking garage right across the street from the terminals and they used to have valet parking which was great. Not sure if they still have it since Covid. Just be careful not to book a super early flight. Tampa is notorious for fog at certain times of year and it can delay the ship arriving into port.

I had the same exact experience. FCC showed up in my account after I completed the cruise.

Thank you for posting. It’s very helpful to see this explained from someone who actually works at the port. This is the experience we have always had at Port Everglades. I apologize to SoFlaAtty if you think I was being argumentative. That was not my intention. I believe you unfortunately were given the wrong information from someone at the port and didn’t want you to think that was the norm.

You shouldn’t have had that happen. I have sailed out of Port Everglades many times and never had that experience. Whoever told you that was wrong. JS is always included along with the full suites as far as priority boarding. It’s one of the very few perks of a JS.

I got it about a week before sailing. If you don’t get it you can call them (there’s a toll free phone number) and they’ll process it when you’re on the phone. Much easier now that they don’t require you to upload the test results.

In Bermuda now. You just need your test results to board. No need to upload anywhere anymore. They check them when you check in.

I’m assuming they were the same ones in Luminae for lunch today? It got a bit loud in there. I saw two tall gentlemen in Luminae today at lunch, but I didn’t want to ask which one might be sailing with @DisneyJen😊

Keep in mind they may not have the wines listed. They were out of quite a few when I sailed in June.

DisneyJen, we will be sailing along with you. I’m also celebrating my 60th, two years late and our 43rd anniversary as well. Maybe we will run into each other in the Retreat Lounge.

Sorry to hear your cruise wasn’t great. We were on the Adventure in May and thought it was great, including the food in the MDR. I am sure it was less crowded in May and I think people can have different experiences one week to the next. Didn’t travel with kids and are retired so didn’t really need to use the internet. We cruise a lot so try to switch it up between a bunch of different lines. I really think Covid has caused a lot of issues on land and at sea. I try to adjust my expectations accordingly.

Not sure what ship you are on, but on the Anthem the last couple of cruises they were pretty strict about who was being allowed in CK. It was actually pretty full at breakfast and lunch. Like others have said, you can ask and see what happens.

I don’t think there’s any consistency in the policy. I had a price drop after final payment. They wouldn’t tell me how much they would give me in FCC for the price drop and they wouldn’t issue it til after the cruise was completed. Made no sense whatsoever.

Lived in the area and sailed in and out of Tampa many times. Tampa sometimes has issues with fog. I’ve been on a ship that wasn’t able to enter the channel due to fog. The ship didn’t dock until noon and lots of people missed their flights. Not saying it happens often, but definitely something to consider when booking flights.

I had the opposite experience. My check in time was 10:30 and because everyone decided to show up early the line was down the sidewalk and around the building outside in the blaring sun. So, I guess it could go either way.

We’ve been in a GS several times on Anthem since the restart. On the cruises we have been on D+ have not been allowed in the lounge. I witnessed a rather nasty run in between a disgruntled D+ and the Concierge over this. Anyhow, the drinks in the lounge do not count towards your vouchers. There was no menu and I think you could order whatever they had on hand, any basic drinks. Unlike on the Oasis class where the bar and Coastal are together, the suite lounge is far from Coastal so we didn’t use it that often. It does have a nice view and comfortable seating.

The worst part is if you had a JS or above there are no available cabins to book on three out of the five sailings they are offering.
