  1. We are in a mini-suite club class - r421. I tried to have our Princess vacation planner get one with a large balcony but he said that was the last one on the Riviera deck. But if I do a mock booking, it shows more club class available, but won't give a cabin number. hmmm
  2. I have never been on a ship excursion. We are not really beach people, and we just enjoy walking around town for a few hours and maybe have a bite to eat at one of the local restaurants. I would hope that would still be allowed, but I seriously doubt it will be.
  3. Carnival has changed its tune about never leaving the US Ports - now they say they are considering it. Sounds like they are dialing up the pressure on CDC - or possibly bluffing. I wonder if Princess would consider moving a home port from Ft. Lauderdale to Cozumel or possibly some other island in the Caribbean
  4. Cozumel would definitely be my first choice. It has one of the biggest ports and also great air service.
  5. We have never taken a TA - but are booked for one from Southampton to Ft. Lauderdale in November on Princess SKy. I haven't taken a Tuxedo on a cruise in several years, because nobody seemed to be wearing them anymore. Is it different on TA's? I figure there will be quite a few Europeans on the cruise. TIA
  6. Sure hoping it will go. THis will be our first TA - Nov 5 from Southampton to Ft. Lauderdale on the Sky Princess.
  7. I read that some cruise lines are considering reservations for bars and the casino to maintain social distancing
  8. Is it possible that the book.princess.com is a travel agent site?
  9. That's why I don't like Princess balcony cabins - no sofa.
  10. Celebrity has announced their protocols for their summer cruises from St. Maarten and Greece. Looks like a lot of testing and vaccinations will be required for those over 18. You may have to take a test to fly to the foreign country - and if you are planning to visit there for a week or so before the cruise - get another one. That could be a real pain if Princess follows suit. This is from cruiseradio.net - not sure if that is allowed on here or not. https://cruiseradio.net/celebrity-still-negotiating-health-protocols-for-summer-cruising/
  11. in your opinion do you think the TA's from Europe that are going to Ft. Lauderdale the beginning of November will sail?
  12. I think that is why most cruise lines will probably require everyone to go on ship sponsored excursions
  13. I read that some cruiselines are using the inside cabins for crew members, so they won't be as cramped as in the regular cabins they get on deck 0
  14. Thank you both - my cabin is designated Club Class
  15. We have booked a Min-Suite Club Class on the Sky - but I don't think the cabin we have is listed as a club class. Is there a place on the website that I can tell for sure? Are all the Mini-Suite balconies covered? Thanks
