  1. Thank you so much for this extremely useful info RedIguana!
  2. Thanks, everyone-I’ll see if they will allow us to do the Bogo on different days.
  3. The first and second night of your cruise are Christmas Eve and Christmas and you are on Explorer with the only specialty restaurant offerings being the “Holiday” $99 dinners at Chop’s and Giovanni’s? Will they still let you do it, or will they allow different days of the cruise other than 1st and 2nd nights? Has anyone had an experience with this during Christmas cruising? Thanks!
  4. Actually for Dec 17, but thanks for your suggestions and info! I’m guessing they are still doing these check in times to try and mitigate crowds, but I wish they would just go back to pre Covid boarding and allow arrival whenever you want.
  5. Are they still enforcing check in times at Port Everglades? Just wondering as even though I got right on it when check in opened up, earliest time is 1-1:30 pm. Check out of hotel is 11. I would like to just go on over. Any thoughts? Thanks!
  6. Hello! We haven’t been on Explorer for a hot minute and just booked for the Christmas cruise. 1) How is she looking these days? 2) Which terminal can we find her in Miami? 3) Is there still a diamond lounge? 4) What shows are going on currently and are reservations necessary? 5) Are they enforcing the “health check” times? Thanks!
  7. Charge for Sorrento’s? What? They should be paying US to eat it!
  8. Well, I have booked Apex for March 2024 and am looking very forward to it! Bland? Taupe? I guess everyone has their own ideas about that, I’ll let you all know what we think after March! I’m just hoping for a more adult type cruise and a step up in food. So, now that I know I can get free drinks during this Elite happy hour deal….where does it occur? Is it at any bar venue or is it somewhere specific like they used to do on RCL in the Diamond lounge?
  9. Thank you for all of your replies! It’s good to know that there are at least a few reciprocity benefits. I have sailed Celebrity many years ago with my Mom, so I do have a captain’s club number. I think it was the Equinox? Anyway, we are looking at the Apex now…looks pretty amazing!
  10. What benefits/perks if any, do you get if you are D+ Royal and cruise on Celebrity? Thanks!
  11. I am in agreement with the OP. I’m new to carnival and I hope not to experience this on my upcoming Horizon cruise. It is called the Serenity area after all…I want to go there to relax, not be surrounded by loud obnoxious people. Swearing or not, if this is an adult only area, then act like an adult and be respectful to one another.
  12. Yep, that’s the one I was on also-really enjoyed it!
  13. Agree! We enjoyed the one we went on a few years ago. It featured Billy Ocean doing a fun concert on Labadee and Michael Bolton on board. Lots of fun loyalty events especially for Royal Caribbean Visa holders…one of which I met you! It was some 007 themed party. I think it was on the Harmony and I would recommend it, even though I’m only a lowly D+.
  14. Resell it in the ship store for twice the price! 😁
  15. So happy to hear about these choices instead of the buffet~thanks!
  16. Yes, now you know! My husband likes to drink them as well as NA beers-they have a lot less calories than their alcoholic counterparts, but you still “feel like” you’re having a cocktail. I am wondering if they do or do not count towards the 15 drink allotment for cheers.
  17. Nice-I can see snark is not limited to the RCL forums 😁! I literally thought you only meant drinks like sodas, gatorades, regular coffee and water. So, @mz-s does this mean non-alcoholic beers and the specialty non-alcoholic cocktails at the alchemy bar made with the zero proof Lyre “liquors” (the ones that cost $13) also don’t count? Amazing…
