  1. That is not correct. If you wish to find out what credit may be offered for included air then you have to ask a consultant.
  2. Apologies, I had forgotten that the Moon was docked in the centre of Bordeaux a couple of weeks ago, so no problems there for the Dawn.
  3. I appreciate its a bit early to post about this, however BM has just confirmed that this will be undertaken by the Silver Dawn. There was a sneak preview to the current WC'ers as they reach their final port tomorrow. Based on the fact that 2023 and 2024 are currently on wait list for the full WC this is probably seen as a logical step by SS Senior management, but it will mean that the WC will no longer be able to sail up the river to Seville, Bordeaux and probably Greenwich. Places such as Yangon and Saigon become long bus rides away from the port and I wonder if the ship will be deemed too large for an Antarctic visit. 2022 had about 190 onboard when it sailed and it remains to be seen just how many actually take 2023.
  4. You are not the only one. A deafening silence and an electronic desert here, no response from you know who regarding the latest cancellation. As far as the promised explanation of the hack last year, it’s another fail from BM.
  5. Unfortunately SS marketing is being run with ‘tin ears’. We and many others have been providing feedback to SS, via consultants and direct to BM herself. Currently I cannot think of anything that has been picked up and implemented, apart from the re-instatement of caviar, and the rumour is that RCL did that.
  6. I believe the fare was increased for a short time after we booked. It now appears to have been reduced back to the original booked price. Smoke and mirrors.
  7. Love it, and rather apt for the following contribution.
  8. We like the Cape Verde islands and that was the main reason for choosing the cruise. The wording in the email below must have come out of the Marketing playbook, how to upsell disappointment: ITINERARY UPDATE In an effort to improve your overall cruise experience with an enhanced Iberian itinerary, Silver Dawn passengers will now be embarking and disembarking their cruise in Lisbon, eliminating the Dakar, Cape Verde, and Western Africa port stops. As a result of this change, we are pleased to announce we will now be sailing Silver Dawn from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean, visiting the Iberian Peninsula’s anchor cities. These changes will enrich your experience with fewer days at sea, more port calls, and the benefit of a better airlift through Lisbon. It came with BM's name on it but was probably written by one of her flunkeys.
  9. And then he can explain why my 21st Nov Dawn cruise has just been eviscerated, removing every port that we booked it for. No apology, just doing us a favour - Not!
  10. I would like to ask that question of my London office SS consultant, but of course he happens to be on holiday, and probably on one of the ships too!
  11. Looks like you are having a good time, and getting to taste some good claret too.
  12. That is correct and there was a statement made to that effect by Barbara Muckermann on the FB SS Guests page at the time. There was also a promise to give a detailed explanation after the systems had been restored, which never happened. Despite all the assurances given the above is extremely worrying and just goes to show how little faith we should have in anything that the COO of SS says. More to the point why has this taken nearly 9 months to be highlighted.
  13. When you have time could you let us know who the HD, CD and assistant CD are please.
