Well , for a start Coral Princess plus Pacific Encounter (ex Star Princess) plus I am sure other ships which others here will tell us about - even if there are no others Coral and ex-Star are a massive increase in capacity over tiny Dawnie ( and Pacific Sun before her) . How are they going to fill them???

Hmm -- Cunard are actually "sailing" now, with certain conditions. I have been wondering what will happen when QE comes to Australia.

During the pandemic, each State through their Chief Health Officer said that they were following "the Science" . Problem is that 6 States and two territories must have had different Science books , as their policies were mostly all different. True Science doesn't work that way. An apple will fall from an apple tree onto your head every time - and doesn't vary from State to State!

If I was onboard, I don't think that I would be making use of the waterslides at this time 🙂

RAT testing is a bit like a hurdles race- each hurdle can bring you to a grinding halt . My son was in Germany for several years ( didn't catch Covid ) and went to London and caught Covid - had to get a negative Rat to get on the plane to Brisbane ( on his way to Japan for work) that took 2 weeks -then had to get a Negative RAT on arrival in Brisbane - then another RAT to get on the plane to Japan and then another on arrival. He is now in Japan - a nervous wreck!! 🙂

Just read about an American family on a recent river cruise in Europe. Did everything right - vaccinations, PCR tests before the cruise , RAT tests for all passengers on every day of the 10 day cruise - EXCEPT for the second last day when they were tested positive, put off the boat into a quarantine hotel - cost them $10K US!!!!!

Already have Les - better still , paying for it with Cunard's money!! 🙂

- but after browsing through some of the postings here, I think I will wait until another 6 months passes. The CoronaParanoia virus ( which is far more disruptive than the Corona virus) is still rampant!! 😞

We have done both the Panama and Suez canals - although the History of the building of the Panama is very interesting as is the transit through the first set of locks of the Panama, we both thought that the Suez Canal was MUCH more enjoyable/interesting to transit and would love to do it again. Don't often get to see an Egyptian Army formation parading - tanks and all. I was absolutely exhausted at the end of the day of our Suez transit - so much time on our feet going from side to side to see everything.

Don't think that just because you have booked for and paid for a cruise starting overseas that you will definitely be on the ship - have a look at what is happening with Cunard right now , suddenly cancelling peoples bookings on QE and QV to reduce the number of passengers onboard.

That is IF we can find somewhere to park at the new terminal 😞

I hope they do keep the Americo-centric menu - I can eat Aussie pie and peas anytime I like here at much less expense! .

A lot of what I would call "juvenile toilet humour" - where the comedy simply involves the frequent use of the F*** word as we young juvenile males did behind the toilet block at school. This will be received with great bursts of laughter by much of the audience.

While watching the 50's film about Cunard Queen Elizabeth earlier today, I noticed that the narrator called Cunard - "Quenard" . I tend to say "Koonard" and I have heard it called "Knard) Any thoughts?? Barry
