Anyone experiencing delays in getting their OBC applied to their account for being shareholders?

I'm on my 11th business day since requesting. I don't ever seem to recall it taking so long. On our November cruise, I heard within 48 hours. All others within a week. I do have a Case Number (always cracks me up that when the case number comes, it says you'll be contacted within 24 business hours... Has never happened for me 🤔).

Just wondering if others are running into the same thing.

     Have you heard back yet?

Just wondering since I put in for ours a couple of days ago and only received a case number.

Usually they approve us the next business day.

Did you book directly through NCL?  Whenever I book through that place with quarter-pound dog and drink for a buck-fifty, I never get an upgrade offer.  If I've booked through ncl, I do.  Last year"s TA on Epic in an H4, we got the upgrade offer, even though the Haven had shown sold out for a year.  We'd booked through ncl.  We did the same TA this year with same category cabin and added the b2b to Rome in the same cabin.  First part was booked through the membership store, the 2nd through ncl. Got the upgrade offer on the ncl part, nothing on the first.  Moot point, as we didn't want to upgrade, but this has been our experience.

I booked through my TA. She does participate in the program. I've gotten the offer in the past right at the 80 day mark  but this time we  booked later in the process so I'm not sure how it will all work out.

  3. We just booked the Escape last night and we are 76 days from sailing. I know the offer to bid went out last week to others who were already booked on this sailing.

I thought maybe we would get the invitation today but so far nothing.  I'm wondering if we will even get an offer this time around.

Just curious if anyone happens to know how long it typically takes to get an offer when booking within the 80 day time frame?

Thanks in advance for any insight!

  4. Thank you for this post!

I just literally finished booking and paying for a BD balcony cabin on the Escape 9/1 sailing. We usually like to book the Haven but we decided on a balcony for this sailing to save money so that we can book the Haven on the Encore next winter instead.  With the current promo we were able to take all 4 plus my TA is paying for our gratuities. I also got to use two cruise next certificates under the current promotion. So all and all we feel that we got a really GREAT deal on our balcony and I think it will work out just fine.

How much did you pay for the Rebel Yell with NCL? I understand that the price is just for the boat ride there and back?

I am looking at the JVD semi-private charter with Kuralu and they're quoting $125 which includes drinks and lunch. Obviously anything we buy at the Soggy Dollar would be out of pocket.

    thanks!

I honestly can't remember the exact amount but I want to say it was somewhere around $95pp. We had a shore excursion credit and my husband and I each receive a 15% discount from NCL for their latitude rewards loyalty program.

The crew did serve some kind of rum punch drink for the ride back to the ship.

The only downfall with this excursion is that ends way too quickly. We didn't want to leave!

Chesneygirl. Is the first stop in your video magens bay?

If you are referring to my Bliss highlights video, then no it was not Megan's Bay. We ferried over to St John on our own and went to Trunk Bay.

  7. This thread has gotten very interesting!

So what do you think would happen in this scenario of 2 people bidding on the same Haven suite?

    1. Someone books a Haven Suite and pays $6000 and then later places a bid of $1000 to upgrade to a 2 bedroom suite

    2. Someone books a mini suite for $3500 and then later places a bid for $2000 for the same 2 bedroom suite

Based on what I'm reading would person #2 most likely win that bid?

Just returned from a 6-day cruise in the 2 bedroom Haven Family Cabin.  We had 4 adults and one young child.  I had trouble finding photos of the second smaller bedroom lower bed made up for two so I thought I'd post here for those interested.  The bed worked for two people but wasn't as comfortable as I hoped.  We had to ask for two layers of foam on top and it still wouldn't have been very comfortable if you were a 'side' sleeper.  (However it wouldn't keep me from doing this again- splitting the cost of this cabin over 4 adults makes it affordable.)

We never used the upper berth but I imagine it might have been very crowded!  The lower bed was always left open like this and was not opened and closed daily.  (We didn't care as the living room area was fine for all of us for daytime use.)

I have some other tips/photos I will share in a bit.

We've thought about doing this with another couple.  The master bedroom is obviously more desirable. So how do you decide who sleeps where?

  9. Last summer while on the Dawn, we had our daughter with us who had just turned 18 years old and was able to officially claim her Platinum status. We also had one of her BFF's sailing with us. All 4 of us were staying in a 2 bedroom suite.

On embarkation day my husband and I had our vouchers waiting for us in the suite but there was northing for my daughter. So I happen to mention it to our butler who explained that it was one per cabin and she would see if there was anything she could do.  Later that night we came back to find another set of vouchers waiting for my daughter. She was even able to claim her bottle of wine and take her BFF as the 2nd guest.

I think it doesn't hurt to ask.

  10. We have our sail date picked out but I'm not booking anything yet. Its past final payment and there's still plenty of inventory left in the mini-suites categories and 41 Haven suites.  I'm just taking my time watching prices and inventory before I pull the trigger.

OMG!!  The people who were queued up behind him while he put on his little show should be rewarded for being so patient.

LOL my husband was in that line waiting. He's the one in the video who finally went down at the end! I was up there to video my husband and didn't expect the show that I got!
