Well I am a real newbie with a camera. Just bought the GoPro 7 black. Planning on taking it out on walks so I can
learn how to use it easily. Been watching videos on YouTube so it doesn't look that hard (I hope).
I will not be posting on YouTube but the videos I hope to make will be for personal consumption.
What desk top program would you recommend for downloading and formatting?
I have always loved your videos! You make them so enjoyable to watch.
I use Final Cut Pro X but there is a learning curve with this program and it's probably way more then you need based on what you want to do with your videos.
If you are just looking to do some "home movies' and not overly concerned about editing them into a story like video then I would export the files onto a thumb drive or any external storage that you might have to keep the clips organized. Otherwise GoPro does have a user friendly editing software? I'm pretty sure it's free and there should be some literature about it that came with your Hero 7 purchase.
I hope this helps!

I haven’t sailed out of NY but the gorgeous views in Seattle can’t be beat! Also you might pass an aircraft carrier or a submarine!
Seattle is on my list! Hoping to do an Alaskan cruise next summer!

Wow beautiful photos!! We were on that Escape sailing!

Sorry, but the Venice sail-away trumps all.
Second is Willemstad Curacao, if the ship docks inside the Queen Emma floating bridge. Our ship had to reverse out all the way to sea!
Miami and New York tied for 3rd on the list. Followed by San Francisco (Golden Gate Bridge).
I can totally respect your opinion.
I only hope that I can experience a sail away from Venice someday! That does sound spectacular!

Ugh...Thanks a lot Chesneygirl! Your beautiful video just cost me $2000.
LOL I'm sorry that it cost you so much but I think you're going to LOVE the suite and the Haven experience.
With 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms it's going to be perfect for your family of 4. Oh and wait til you see the master bath in person….the video doesn't come close to doing it any justice! Enjoy!!

Being a Boston girl and having sailed out of Boston and Florida many times, I have to admit nothing beats a sail away like NYC! Norwegian does a really great job with this.

Who doesn't love a good sail away? I swear sailing out of NYC never gets old for me!

Cabin is beautiful!!! How was it being in the front of the ship? Was there a lot of motion? Out of 11 cruises, 2 had cabins in the front of the ship and I was sick both times. Unfortunately, this has made me weary of booking a Haven room.
That's a hard question for me to answer since motion doesn't bother me or my husband.
I will say coming back from Bermuda there definitely was quite a bit of motion but that's only because we were following Hurricane Dorian up the coast back to NY from Bermuda. But on the way to Bermuda it was totally fine.

We've stayed on both decks…I would probably pick 17 before 18 but honestly you just can't go wrong either way. Enjoy!

TenForward: See ya in a few weeks!

Beautiful video! We are going on this cruise in a few weeks. I love the Escape. Was that first beach Horseshoe Bay? It looks so empty - which is lovely. What time were you there? Any chance you have the latest Dailies you could post? Thanks for sharing your video - very well done!
Thank you so much…the beach that you see in the video is Warwick Long Bay. We were there around 6PM. We purposely planned it that way in hopes that the beach would be empty. :) I hope you have a fabulous cruise on the Escape to Bermuda. I wish was going back with you!

I had subscribed to her YouTube channel months ago but never have received any notices. I know several times she has been asked about the drones but I've not seen a response to those questions. Chesneygirl has given me a number of tips as I'm a rank beginner using a video camera. She does fabulous work and must spend a great deal of time at the editing screen. I've enjoyed watching all of them. I suspect her gear bag is really full on her cruises. I've just begun using both Premiere Elements which will not edit HVEC, and CyberLink PowerDirector 365 which will. The learning curve, at least for me, has been steep.
Thanks for the high praise!
If you click on the "bell" icon on my channel that should activate getting a notice whenever I upload a new video.

Just got a GoPro Hero 7 Black, both videos are excellent. What edit program or app did you use to make the videos?
Hi There, I use Final Cut Pro X. Just finished another video a few days ago. Take a look…for this one it was combination of the Hero 7, Canon 80d and my Mavic Air. Hope you enjoy!

It's a great video but I can't get over the plastic cork going into the ocean. 😞 Hopefully that won't happen in the future?
We didn't mean to offend you or anyone else.
Guess we weren't thinking…definitely won't be doing that again in the future.

Awesome Video.. Wife and I where on the samr cruise that week..
One question.. I thought drones where not aloud to be brought on the ship..... Otherwise I would have brought my DJI Phantom.
Thank you! As for the drone, the ship security held on to it for me and I was able to get it back each time I went off the ship.

OP @ 2:13 ... where did the plastic “cork” land?
I think you already know the answer to that question.

We love JVD!
We did the Rebel Yell excursion with Captain Claudia. She drops you off knee deep in the water. It's one of our favorite excursions. We've done it many times and it never gets old!
