Hindsight is 20/20 but I don't think I would have said this for the exact reaction you got from the new server. The double pours were likely in hopes of a tip. Most bartenders truly do want to make the passenger happy. From a corporate POV, drinks package or not, pouring doubles means resources are expended twice as fast...and for many, a double would be a waste because it won't get consumed. I've set down countless drinks at different bars because I tried something new and didn't like it...hence a wasted drink. My answer to the question is, I think it's about controlling waste.
I agree.
But giving doubles to guests can also cause faster inebriation. Which I'm sure Corporate doesn’t want as that could result in unwanted consequences…

We have booked many S1 Aft corner sky suites- never had soot. For those that did, I believe you, but how do you know it was actually smoke-stack soot and not some other type of outside dirt? Just curious.
First, where would the dirt be coming from when sailing far from shore?
And second, we usually sail in Aft S1's. I have always used a towel to clean the soot off of the loungers. Having a fireplace at home I know soot when I see it.- 1

That's probably so you don't accidentally fall over the railing while standing on it...
Or to keep unsupervised children from falling over the railing when standing on it.

Our first X cruise was on Silhouette 13 years ago.
I agree, good memories. 😊

It was our first cruise @C-Dragons on the Mercury. I found two of our drink glasses from that cruise.
Congratulations on your “Anniversary “ 😎

Yes in the retreat it's not hard to deduce who is in the top suites. The concierge's and retreat managers pay them a lot of attention.
One does not have to be in a top suite, there are other reasons why certain people in the Retreat are payed a lot of attention.

Have not seen them yet in any concierge room we've been in...Robes, umbrellas, small binoculars, shampoo, body wash, moisturizing cream, afternoon canapés, pillow selection, Celebrity key holder, better room location, but no slippers...
The slippers are usually provided in Suites.
Plus the other things you listed. -

It is stories like this that make me wonder why I sail Celebrity? Why?
At a whim they could move me to whatever cabin they want...
In all the years we have sailed with X they have never moved us from the cabin we originally booked. Personally I wouldn’t worry about it.

It has shown up in the app day of boarding.
Yes.
You start the process prior to boarding, but the last step is completed on board when you report to your Muster station to check in. It's really easy peasy. 😊

Most here could fall into the 'poor grammar/spelling/punctuation' scenario (including Moi...😉). We tend to dash off responses and expect that the very intelligent CC postrs here know want we mean, read between the lines, and fargive us our trespasses...etc....😇.
Bravo! 👍 😁

Thanks for the replies.....I plan on having a good time but it seems I need to keep my expectations to a minimum (that is how the posts are coming across to me).
I do have a question.....have any of you done the "Chef's Table" they are offering? Do you think it is worth 150.00?
And do you know if in Luminae, anyone share's tables? I don't mind eating on my own but it is nice to dine with others as well. Just curious if this happens in here.
Yes. Talk to the MaitreD in Luminae.
Nice to see you back!

I sailed out of Boston once and embarcation was an absolute nightmare. No interest in sailing from there again.
Could you please elaborate on why it was a nightmare out of Boston.

Is the noise happening in any aft-facing Sunset Verandahs?
We have sailed 5 times on the Edge, all in AFT facing cabins. Never had a problem with noise.

Yes.
From the X website:
Does celebrity enforce dress code?
Shorts and flip-flops are not allowed in the evening hours. The dress code will be enforced at all restaurants. And guests are asked to follow the Smart Casual dress code in the Celebrity Theater for all evening performances.

I read the reviews dated back to the beginning Beyond's sailing and took it with a grain of salt. And it s STILL going on 2 years later is how know they have ignored it. They know it's happening and could block off those cabins that have issues and not book them until the problem is fixed but it is all about the almighty $$ I guess.
We have sailed three times on Beyond including her Maiden TA. Never had any noise issues at all.

I have been trying, unsuccessfully for several hours, to access the Celebrity website to complete a reservation.
Does anyone have any insight on what might be the problem?
Basically full Beyond - How Bad??
in Celebrity Cruises
Posted
Yes, actually most of the cruises we take are full.
And we only sail on Edge class ships now. Never had a problem.
